Quality of the beef was amazing, no doubt. The tenderloin we had was one of the best we’ve ever had. However, apart from the food, this place has so much room for improvement.
The design/layout of the restaurant was weird. I don’t know whether they’re trying to be hip or cool with the design, but it’s so hard to find the entrance and we waited for around 10 minutes just trying to find the entrance and staff is not well-trained to direct customers to give instructions on this. May be put up a small sign directing people to the entrance? There’s no direct entrance to the restaurant from the main street; you either have to go around the back from the main building or through another building then you will find a small door inside. This incident did not leave a good first impression upon arrival.
Staff is friendly and helpful but has really minimal English skill, no one could direct us to the entrance when we were lost; because they couldn’t understand us. At least, some front of house/reception hostess, should be trained to have some understanding of English to deal with customers. Staff ofcourse tried their best, but it is a difficult experience for both parties involved, may be the restaurant should consider this.
Personally, did not like the private rooms because there is no restaurant atmosphere but it was probably just personal preference. The chef coming in to cook for you was nice.
There was one big thing we noticed and we never had in years of restaurant experience until Woo Tender. We ordered a bottle of red wine, and it came already opened when the waiter walked into our room. Never have we seen the wine come pre-opened, when you order wine, you expect the wine to be opened right in front of you, then taste, pour. Ofcourse again, we mentioned and staff don’t understand. In the end, we just gave the benefit of the doubt that this kind of restaurant won’t trick us with a pre-opened bottle of wine and accepted it, but this is unacceptable behaviour and the management might want to address this.
Overall, for the money spent, we found the experience subpar except the quality of meat. The management should do some...
Read moreWoo Tender is a premium Korean restaurant with incredibly delicious food, located on the lower floor of The Quart Ruamrudee hotel, in Soi Ruamrudee.
The ambiance is unique—there’s no central dining area. Instead, the space is divided into private rooms based on the number of guests, offering a great sense of privacy.
A must-try is the Chateaubriand, which the chef personally grills for you right in your room. After grilling, the meat is covered and left to rest for five minutes before being sliced and served. It’s truly exquisite—tender, sweet, with a thin crispy crust on the outside and a juicy, soft center. You’ll find yourself finishing it before you even realize.
Another highlight is the Wootender Beef Cutlet Sandwich—small sandwiches filled with juicy fried beef, beautifully seared, crispy on the outside and tender inside. Definitely worth trying.
Other recommended dishes include the Kimchi Soup, with ultra-soft, tender beef that melts in your mouth. The soup has a balanced, mellow flavor—not too sour—and pairs perfectly with rice.
The Beef Black Bean Noodles are rich and flavorful, with chewy noodles mixed with thinly sliced beef—everything comes together deliciously.
And last but not least, don’t miss the Fresh Kimchi, a house-made side dish prepared fresh daily. It's incredibly tasty—you’ll have to try it yourself to understand how good it is.
