Let's Relax Spa Phuket Sai 2 — Local services in Patong

After great experiences in other branches across Bangkok, I took the priciest package for a self pampering session. But what a let down it was. A far cry from my experiences with their branches in Bangkok. I specifically choose Let's Relax and made a journey from Phuket Old Town to Patong just for their branch. And that journey via Grab is not a cheap journey.

Package Taken : Spa Experience (Executive) THB4,900

Room : Was rather dirty and floor was oily like it hasn't been cleaned. To boot, taking a full spa package, room is located next to a store/utility. It's literally like being in an attic.

Massage : This was the biggest let down. My masseuse either doesn't care enough and just wants to finish off her time or she's untrained. The scrub was so half hearted and she just skipped some areas. Then came the massage, she was randomly rubbing hot stones without even testing the heat of the stones. I'd specifically told her an area to focus but she just went ya ya and ignored. I've been to enough spas and experienced enough hot stone massages where there are different stone sizes and angles for different areas of the body. Hers was just rubbing. She literally wrapped a whole pile of hot stones and just placed them at the mid of my back. There were no specific placements at all. She randomly skated her palms over. There was zero technique. Zero flow. Massages are supposed to soothe in a flowing movements. Mine were just abrupt movements randomly and awkward rubbing motions. Literally she was just trying her best to beat up the session.

Prior to this session, I made an effort to come over 1 day earlier to communicate but apparently, service is also zero.

Summary : I'd never ever take for granted that Let's Relax as a chain massage and spa brand to be a reliable brand after this utterly disappointing experience. I'd a way way better experience at a way way cheaper price the following day with Kim's. Such an utter let down...

Don’t be fooled by the nice decor and ambiance. For the price that I paid for, I was expecting a great massage. Selected the 3 in 1 combo package for 1200baht but it felt like the masseuse was just rubbing cream on me. Asked her to put more pressure on my feet and I felt her fingernails pressing on my feet. Arm massage was decent but when it came to the back and shoulder massage, she was using her elbows all the way. It did not feel like she used any pressure at all too. Just something hard rubbing on my skin. I had to cease the last 30min of my massage as I could not tolerate it anymore. At least they refunded me for it. I tried to give the staff my honest feedback but it seems like the receptionist could not handle complaints at all. She was being defensive and told me that if I wanted something harder I should have gone for the full body massage on the bed. Overall, I don’t recommend this overpriced and underwhelming massage...

I got the 1 hour thai massage, 1 hour scrub package. During the 1 hour massage, masseuse sat on the stretcher/table/bed with me and started kneading only my legs (almost the full hour) and parts of my back remaining. I thought she would utilise the other hour massaging the other parts while scrubbing. When she started scrubbing, (a good 15 mins), she poured water scrub and repeated without massaging. Afterwards, she wrapped me in plastic, and left me in the room for 45 mins under the aircon SOAKING wet with a half past six scrub that lasted 15 minutes. I tore the plastic open at the very last 10 minutes because i kept screaming that i was cold and NO ONE heard me. When she came back, i finished my shower already (shivering) and yet she insisted to smear her moisturiser while i was SHIVERING. Ive been back from Phuket for 4 days now and i’m still having high fever, and a very bad cough. WORST MASSAGE...
