Our hunger pangs led us to Sunrise Tacos Silom, and we were greeted with a delightful dining experience. The food was fresh, the drinks were satisfying, and the overall experience left us fully satiated. This review highlights the exceptional dishes we enjoyed, including the flavorful margaritas, quesadillas, burritos, and vegetarian options such as enchiladas and salsa-topped nachos.
As hungry patrons, the freshness of the food at Sunrise Tacos Silom was a welcome sight. The menu offered a variety of Mexican delights, and we wasted no time in ordering our favorites. The quesadillas were a delicious start, with a golden-brown tortilla enveloping a generous filling of melted cheese and savory ingredients. The burritos were equally impressive, featuring a medley of flavors wrapped in a warm tortilla. The freshness and quality of the ingredients shone through, making every bite a true delight.
To complement our meal, we decided to indulge in a whole pitcher of margaritas. This decision proved to be a wise one, as the margaritas were exceptional. The refreshing blend of tequila, lime, and other ingredients created a tangy and well-balanced cocktail that perfectly complemented the vibrant flavors of the Mexican cuisine. Sipping on margaritas added an extra layer of enjoyment to our dining experience.
One of the highlights of our visit was the presence of vegetarian options that impressed our vegetarian friend. The vegetarian enchiladas stood out, offering a delicious combination of vegetables, cheese, and flavorful sauces. Additionally, the sides of salsa options provided with the nachos were a delightful addition, adding a burst of freshness and tanginess to the dish. Sunrise Tacos Silom proved to be a haven for both meat lovers and vegetarians alike.
Overall, our experience at Sunrise Tacos Silom was fantastic. The freshness of the food, combined with the generous portions, left us fully satisfied. The flavorful margaritas added a festive touch to the meal, and the vegetarian options were a pleasant surprise. Whether you're craving authentic Mexican flavors, in need of a refreshing beverage, or seeking vegetarian-friendly options, Sunrise Tacos Silom is a must-visit. Read moreTOTALLY OVERPRICED!!! If you don't look at the small print, then you will miss that to the already high price they add serving fee and tax. So, for a small coke (that I pay 10-15 Bath for at my local restaurant) they charge 70 Baht! For comparison, I come from Sweden, one of the most expensive countries in the world... but it would still be cheaper to eat the same food at a Mexican restaurant in Sweden!
Regarding to the food: they have a salsa bar, but between in reality not much variety between most of the different salsas. The taste of the food was OK, but frankly, any flavor came from the salsas (and as I already said, most salsas tasted pretty much the same...).
Response to owners response:
A can of Coke is 15 Baht at 7-11, at BigC you can get the cans for 13.50 Baht (that's their normal price , they have sale now so they are 11 Baht), those are retail prices and the wholesale price you pay should be lower than that... So, with your price and what you are saying, you are basically comparing yourself with Jamie's Italian in Siam Discovery (85 Baht + tax and serving fee for a coke)! And you are marking up your coke more than Savelberg (1* in the Michelin Guide) marks up their alcohol!
And just as a comparison, today I ate my lunch at a small local restaurant that is owned and operated by a Thai who used to work under Wolfgang Puck in Las Vegas, and yes, I payed more than the 10-15 Baht that most local restaurants charge... I payed 20Baht!
Regarding your salsas: Avocado salsa - a real proper guacamole would be more tasty than your avocado salsa, it tasted like you had just put an avocado and water (I guess you use ice) trough a blender as it was really not much taste or texture to it, it was more like green, watery substance. Pineapple salsa - you don't really change much of the taste just by adding pineapple to an already existing salsa... Some thing that was marked as salsa looked and tasted like ketchup. And I could make the list go on!
And just because something is spicy doesn't make it tasty, for example, my ghost peppers and Carolina Reapers are just hot and not really that...
Read moreWorst mexican ive ever had. Totally overpriced and bad quality. Stale cornchips tasteless quacamole and weird sauces. The tacos were gross. Service was ok. Beware the surcharges! Wouldnt recommend to anyone. The commenta from the owner are completely untrue.... we were put in a table in the corner, we had to constantly wave to get the attention of the waitress, no one ever asked if our meal was ok, no one explained the all you can eat corn chips to us (they were completely stale anyway so why would we want more???), the meal was really over priced, the beer was twice the price as anywhere else and the food wasn’t good, or authentic. ............................................................ Look Greg, if that is even your real name, you could be a computer for all I know, please stop refuting my review of your restaurant. Your inability to accept my account of the experience I had is part of the problem. If you could take constructive criticism you may be able to lift your game and have a half decent restaurant. Your suggestion that I never ate there is offensive; you think I would just post a sub-par review for fun? I have many other reviews - please take your time to read them. I stand by everything I’ve said in my review of your family diner. The staff were unfriendly. The food was bad. And the meal was over priced. I know it might be frustrating to receive a negative review when you ‘work’ so hard, but even the best restaurants drop the ball every now and then. I’ll take your word for it that you have regulars and you offer a first class experience, unfortunately you did not deliver this for me and my friend on the night we dined at...
