itto shokudo — Restaurant in Thanon Phaya Thai Subdistrict

A little restaurant on Rang Nam. The front facade isn't too flashy so it's a blink and you miss. But we landed there since we were specifically looking for inexpensive Japanese food and followed Google map. And it was a very pleasant experience! The young lady managing the joint is very polite. You write down your dish number from the menu on a little note pad and they bring your food to your table-fresh, hot and very quick! Definitely try the enoki in light soy sauce. Their katsu curry is very tasty too! Do try as many dishes as you can, they make them really good! And loved the pretty decor too. Will come back again. Definitely...

I ordered ramen and fried chicken. The ramen was great, I was able to finish the soup so the whole bowl was empty. I wasn’t able to take a photo of the fried chicken because I ate it so quickly 😂 it was too good, too juicy and tender. I also ordered the take out for my bf. The Japanese fried noodles tasted so like in Japan. Not even to mention the fried pork chop… I miss the sauce so much and this place just fulfill my desire!! As a Taiwanese, we eat a lot and love Japanese food very much. Will 100% come back during my stay in bkk for 2.5 month!

This was a great little izakaya place. It really reminded me of a little mom-n-pop place my wife and I went to near Mt. Fuji. The selection is amazing and everything I had tasted great!

You can really tell how good a Japanese chef is by their tamagoyaki, and theirs was perfect for me. Tender, not too sweet, but melts in your mouth....
