Got food poisoning. We ordered from here on Tuesday 12 July - We only came here because Broad Lane Chippy was closed and boy do I regret it. I was served by a friendly lady who apologised for the wait which wasn't actually that long but I appreciated the courtesy.

I ordered a large portion of chips with a portion of chicken meat. My wife, my son and one my daughters were content with making chip butties so I shared the chicken with my other daughter - she ate very little because she said there was too much fat. I ate the rest of it. Within 2 hours we both had diarrhoea. No sickness though. Bear in mind we had eaten cous cous for lunch that day - so this was undoubtedly the chicken from Olympus Fish Bar. This was our first visit to this place and will certainly be our last. Seeing another comment on here about the food being kept overnight, seems to be from an inside source - maybe a previous employee? This place should be...

I happened to be passing and decided to order a small chips to make the (hopefully) perfect accompaniment to a reheated curry at home. As small accompaniments go, it was pretty big, but certainly didn't disappoint. The chips were hot, of varying size (suggesting hand, or close to hand-cut), completely cooked through and not in the slightest bit oily or greasy. My friendly and efficient server also seasoned the chips to perfection. A much bigger and more famous chippy in the area doesn't do chips half as good as these. Absolutely appalling behaviour from staff. Stood there a long time, waiting for any attention. The lovely lady at the till was too busy chatting away with her friends, didn't give a damn about her customers waiting to be served. And the two blokes just stared away in the distance totally trying to avoid eye contact or showing any willingness to serve the customers. Safe to say I won't be going there again. And I hope that management at Olympus takes this...
