Training professionally in makeup artistry is by far one of the toughest technical challenges I've ever given myself. I am so glad I went to The Central School of Makeup as, although they were super-strict and thorough, I now have an excellent understanding of why and how which has given me wings and freedom in my artistry. The teachers are just excellent; they are beyond the best in their various fields and all of them have serious mileage in retail, pro makeup, LFW and international makeup artistry at Vogue cover level as well as theatre and TV. I have no idea why they would want to spend days teaching Luddites like me! But I am so glad they do. This was such a rewarding experience. I made some great friends, discovered so many new ideas and methods and worked with some interesting (not say stunning) models. Loved, loved this course and all the colour theory too. The science and techniques were truly absorbing. I've since booked more one-on-one courses and am so proud to have started my pro makeup artist journey from the best place. Very proud to be an IMA and graduate of The Central Makeup School. Forget TikTok and Instagram and the online tutorials ; if you are serious about the transformative power of...

I honestly can’t thank the school and its staff enough. When I first joined, I wanted to build my confidence in makeup, and they went above and beyond to help me do just that.

The training was incredible—taking me from the absolute basics through to advanced, professional techniques. I started with the basic course, then followed up with the creative course, and both were game-changers for me. Since then, I’ve recommended the school to so many people because I truly can’t recommend them enough.

Beyond just teaching skills, they helped me develop real confidence in my artistry. The support didn’t stop when the courses ended—they’ve continued to be there for me long after, offering guidance and encouragement whenever I’ve needed it. Thanks to the connections I made through the school, I’ve been given incredible opportunities to work with local brands, independent businesses, fashion shows, and modeling agencies.

Whether you’re looking to learn makeup for yourself or as a professional, this is the place to do it. They’re welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping you grow—not just in skill but in...

I began this course without any prior experience in make-up, and I’m so pleased I chose the IMA Foundation course at The Central School of Make-up. The tutors have been incredibly patient, explaining everything so clearly, and their support has really helped to build my confidence.

At first, I found the course a bit daunting because I hadn’t worked with make-up before, but I enrolled to develop new skills that would support my photography work.

I’m thrilled that I made the decision to join — the atmosphere is so warm and welcoming, and everyone is approachable, which helped me feel comfortable right away.

We use the school’s own extensive range of make-up products in class, giving us the chance to try out different brands. Hygiene is also a top priority, which is really reassuring when working with shared products.

All in all, I’d highly recommend this course. It’s given me a great foundation, and I’m excited to continue my journey with The Central School of Make-up by joining more of their courses to keep...

Exceptional Talent lives here: Tutors Extraordinaires Laura and Becky plus their wonderful team. Their Makeup Artistry is just flawless! I love them so very much, they are the best tutors and super lovely people. I absolutely love their classes and how much effort, professionalism, love and care they put in. They go an extra mile for everyone, create team spirit and instill confidence in us, students. I do feel so much more confident to go out there and offer my services to others. I come from London (currently studying here) and I feel that I made the right choice and I'd not change a thing. The classes are worth every penny. Dear Team, Thank you so so much for all your help! Looking forward to my IMA exam, Alesya

The best makeup school you can go! I had Foundation makeup courses here, Creative and editorial, SFX (special effects) courses and wish there were more! Very knowledgeable people, kind, warm, supportive, I always felt like at home. The highest level of teaching, and hygiene, and when I was choosing where to learn how to apply makeup - this was for me the main reason to choose this school! Teachers really care for you to feel comfortable and to understand everything. Always excited if there are some events there, as its always something amazing, for example, the event with colour analysis of what colours suit you the best!
