Nestled within the heart of Birmingham, the International Convention Centre (ICC) stands as a testament to modern architectural brilliance and impeccable hospitality.

From the outside, the ICC may not command immediate attention, yet once inside, it unfolds into a realm of functionality and elegance. The entrance, though unassuming, belies the treasures within.

Upon stepping inside, visitors are greeted by the expansive atrium, a bustling hub of activity where conversations mingle with the soft hum of anticipation. The Symphony Hall, with its impressive acoustics and refined ambiance, offers a stage for unforgettable performances and events.

The interior design is a symphony of steel and blue hues, where every element serves a purpose without sacrificing aesthetic appeal. Glass-sided lifts and stairs seamlessly integrate into the architecture, allowing natural light to cascade throughout the space while offering glimpses of Birmingham's urban landscape.

Accessibility is a hallmark of the ICC, ensuring that every visitor can navigate its halls with ease. Even on a rainy October day, the ICC remains a beacon of warmth and welcome, with ample space to gather and connect.

The staff members, with their genuine warmth and willingness to assist, elevate the ICC experience to new heights. Whether providing directions or sharing insights into the building's history, their passion for hospitality shines through.

For conference organizers and event planners, the ICC is a dream venue, offering versatility and world-class amenities. From intimate gatherings to international conferences, the ICC provides a stage for success.

In conclusion, the ICC Birmingham is more than just a venue—it's a destination where functionality meets hospitality, where every detail is meticulously crafted to ensure an unforgettable experience. Whether attending an event or simply exploring its halls, the ICC invites visitors to discover the magic...

The International Convention Centre is somewhat anonymous on the outside and the entrance (that we used) was not particularly impressive. Maybe we didn't experience the full wonder of the building, but we did spent quite a bit of time in the atrium, The Symphony Hall, the reception areas outside the Symphony Hall and some of the rooms on the other side of the atrium. The interior of the Conference Centre uses the steel structure as a design feature and is painted blue. The lifts and stairs fit in around the supporting structure and are glass sided so that the light and views within the building are not obstructed. The building is fully accessible and works well as a social space on a wet and windy day in late October. There were a lot of people in the building (OU Degree Conferment Ceremony), but it never felt too busy and the lifts and toilets never felt overwhelmed and there were no queues. The staff were lovely. I took the opportunity to ask about the building and also to get directions and the people I spoke with were friendly and seemed happy to be working there. It was interesting to get a perspective on what had been here and to understand a little bit about the people that lived and worked in the area. A really good venue and if I was still involved in booking conferences, hosting people from around the world, I would definitely talk to the people here. A good...

Despite passing through the ICC many times over the years, I have only been to one event hosted here and that was a few years ago. I recently came here for Digifest19 (a really well run EduTech show).

We were based around Hall 3 and satellited into a number of other halls and the main (large and well specced) auditorium.

This is a decent venue and well equipped. Proximity to New Street is fair and will be even better when the tram is running. On the downside - Brum road access is dire and car-parking is terrible. There is a canal outside so I guess there are other options for getting there.

Toilet facilities are good and plentiful and there are lockable charging lockers for phones and tablets.

Food provision is good if catered event.

On the downsides. Parking. Poor signage to the various outlying halls with much need of up and down staircases with little reassurance that you are in the right corridor space. Greeter staff are plentiful at the start of the day but rather brusque at the end and eager to shift you out - even interrupting obvious conversations. A lack of USB points in the main theatre makes it feel dated. Wi-fi is fair but there are many dead spots (due to the building design) and was pitiful in 2 of the halls.

Good venue but needs...
