Title: A Culinary Masterpiece: A Memorable Experience at Lulu Wild Review: I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lulu Wild and I am thrilled to share my extraordinary experience. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I knew I was in for something truly remarkable. Every aspect of this dining establishment, from the outstanding food to the exceptional service, exceeded my expectations. One of the highlights of my visit was the exceptional guidance provided by the manager, Gianmarco. His passion for fine dining and his deep knowledge of wines truly elevated my dining experience. Gianmarco's expertise shone through as he suggested the best wine I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. The selection perfectly complemented the flavors of the cuisine, leaving me in awe of his remarkable skill. Speaking of cuisine, the food at Lulu Wild was nothing short of outstanding. Each dish was a work of art, carefully crafted with attention to detail and a profound understanding of flavors. From the appetizers to the desserts, every bite was a delightful revelation. The culinary team's dedication to using high-quality ingredients and innovative techniques was evident in every dish presented before me. However, it wasn't just the remarkable cuisine that made this dining experience truly memorable; the service was equally exceptional. The staff members were attentive, professional, and genuinely passionate about providing an unforgettable dining experience. They effortlessly created a warm and inviting atmosphere, ensuring that every guest felt welcome and well taken care of. The ambiance of Lulu Wild further enhanced the overall experience. The elegant and tastefully designed interior provided a perfect backdrop for an evening of indulgence. The attention to detail was evident in the thoughtful decor, creating an atmosphere that was both sophisticated and comfortable. In conclusion, my visit to Lulu Wild was an absolute delight. Gianmarco's wine recommendation, combined with the outstanding food and impeccable service, made it an experience that I will cherish. If you are seeking a dining establishment that goes above and beyond to create a truly memorable culinary adventure, I wholeheartedly recommend Lulu Wild. I am eagerly looking forward to my next visit, as I know it will be yet another exceptional journey into the world of fine dining

Just returned from an afternoon brunch at Lulu and wow I was so impressed with everything. As soon as you walk through the door we were greeted by some lovely hosts who put out coats in the cloakroom. The decor inside is just stunning. The tables were laid out beautifully. We were made to feel extremely welcome. We're were given the set menu for the brunch and once we ordered the food didn't take too long to arrive at the table. The duck spring rolls were delicious for starters and then the spicy king prawns with rice for mains was absolutely mouthwatering Mmmmmmm!!!! The cocktails were also great, might have had a few too many!! There was a DJ playing some good tunes in the background too. We sat downstairs, but there is also an upstairs that can probably be booked out for private hire in the future. There were loads of staff around. Unfortunately didn't get anyone's name as they all had facemasks on and noone seemed to be wearing a name badge. But they were all very attentive. They do add a service charge of 10% to the bill, but you can ask for it to be removed if you prefer to leave your own tip. Also we got charged £5 for a bottle of water £5 which I thought was a bit much. Would of been nice to be offered tap water as an alternative. Overall great 5* experience and definitely somewhere to go if you want to celebrate a special occasion; or if you just want to go somewhere modern and trendy. Great for couples or groups of friends. Will definitely revisit.

Not too wild about wild. Really wanted to like this place. Two very good waitresses, one who met us on arrival had zero welcoming or hosting skills. We opted to sit in the annex which was like a covered gazebo, lots of heaters on so toasty warm. Nice clean tables, tableware and menus. We enjoyed a couple of cocktails. The disappointment was the food. The duck pancakes was badged as 1/4 duck. See the picture, this was barely a 1/4 duckling. Yes, duck is expensive but for £19 we just about managed to fill 3 pancakes. There was a lot of crispy onions underneath to pad out the duck which was barely there. Mains was duck and truffle, nicely cooked and good truffle flavour. I had chicken satay, nice thick crunchy sauce, huge chicken breast but parts of it were crunchy. Very odd texture in places. The egg fried rice hadn't been anywhere near a wok, it was like microwaved or sticky rice texture which yellow looking bits which again didn't look like fried egg. It was utterly bland! Service charge, no issue ever with this except you shouldn't be charging 12.5% for service if you can't match service to other restaurants who charge the same, like the ivy, which is silver service. Yes it's optional but the service wasn't equivalent and you always feel obliged to pay. This is a place with great music and surrounds, but more for the insta crowd than those serious about Chinese food. A bit like the Tattu experience but not quite as polished.

Awful Experience – Never Coming Back!

If I could give this place negative stars, I would! Where do I even begin? First of all, the service was absolutely atrocious. We waited over 30 minutes for a table despite having a reservation and when we asked reception how long it would be we were greeted with a rude young lady who clearly shouldn’t be working in customer service. Now when it comes to the menu, which was already limited and extremely low value because of our party size, we were told you weren’t allowed to order one portion but had to pay £60 for three courses, clear example of mandatory minimum charge, not including drinks. Now it being an early dinner we had no intention of eating that much food and were told we weren’t able to share so asked if it would be possible to just have drinks as the food in our opinion was not at all worth the cost especially when combined with how beyond rude they were and acted as if we were inconveniencing them.

At this point we asked a waiter if this would be okay and if we would be charged a cancellation fee. A lady returned who we assumed was the manager as the waiter had told us that is who we would need to speak to, she informed us that wouldn’t be an issue and we wouldn’t be charged but we were not able to stay at the table and would have to move are party of 9 to the already cramped and almost seatless reception despite having booked the table which doesn’t, upon booking, seem to be for food only. As a result we asked if we would still be charged cancellation if we didn’t think this was accommodating enough for the 21st birthday we were celebrating to which they responded no, this was triple checked before we left and she ensured us if we were charged to call back and it would be sorted.

To top it all off, when we called to speak to the manager, as we were charged despite the guarantee we wouldn’t be, they were even worse. Unapologetic, dismissive, and downright hostile. It was clear that customer satisfaction was the absolute last thing on their mind as she hung up the phone and we are still yet to hear a response as trying to call them has been like trying to contact the prime minister.

I’ve never experienced such a combination of incompetence, rudeness, and complete disregard for customer service. Save your money and your sanity — this place doesn’t deserve...

We came up to Birmingham for a weekend and booked ourselves into this restaurant after hearing multiple positive reviews. I can say that the food was exceptional however the service & atmosphere was something left to be desired. We were seated 20 minutes later than our actual booking due to the restaurant being busy which was not a problem however we were asked to wait in the bar area which had extremely intoxicated people making inappropriate loud comments which resulted in the group arguing loudly amongst themselves. Not exactly what you want when you are trying to have a nice meal. Once we were seated our orders were taken quickly however we were not brought water as requested. Upstairs was beautifully decorated but the atmosphere seemed extremely tense with a background of extremely loud music & bongos which resulted in us shouting to each other to have a conversation. I'm assuming the senior waitresses were overwhelmed and had new staff who had no idea where food orders were going. We watched our food go round the room twice before coming to us, which was not ideal. The waitresses were then quite rude to the other staff publicly. Luckily a young lady was our waitress was absolutely fantastic, she seemed much calmer than the rest so maybe the others were just having a bad evening? We then ordered desserts & more water to replace the water we did not receive. We did not receive cutlery or the water and had to ask again for this. I understand restaurants are busy but it would make sense that if they are overwhelmed with drinks/parties that food service stops at a certain time to accommodate this. The final straw for me was that an automatic service charge was applied which i thought was highly inappropriate when the service was quite poor - the young lady who served us deserved the tip herself not to be split amongst profit of others. I am regretful I did not get her name, and I would not...
