UPDATE: They actually called me yesterday first thing (Sonia and the main guy there whose name I didn't get.) They apologised for the service and didn't try to explain it all away. They seemed genuninely sorry and concerned about how I felt about the service. They asked if I would be willing to let them make this right. They sent someone to collect my car and did the repair free of charge. They then dropped it back off and told me to take it for a drive and see how it felt. It was back to normal and I was majorly happy. I stopped by the garage to let them know that it was all good. They kept in touch with me the entire day - this seemed really geniune and they wanted to make sure that they still had my custom. The way they dealt with my complaint definitely brought me back from not trusting them in the least to willing to give them another chance and being happy with the result. Thanks again for taking this to a proper result!!!
Shocking service! Took my car in on Friday 1st August 25 as it was making a strange scraping sound. Repair carred out which was offside rear calliper and discs and pads. (An outpoint is that the invoice states "Standard labour" and not parts.) Job cost £450. Took it back on Monday 4th as noise was still there but slightly worse. Mechanic looked at it and said there was dirt on the plate and they'd clean it. This would handle the problem I was told. I was going down south on business and told the mechanic this to which he said it was perfectly safe to drive. Arriving down south the scraping noise was pretty bad and I called again. The mechanic told me to bring it back in. When I told him I was down south he told me to bring it in when I got back and that it was perfectly safe to drive. I drove back and took the car back in this morning, the scraping at this point was horrific. The mechanic said he'd have it sorted within a couple of hours. As soon as I left he called my husband to say that it was actually a different calliper now and not the same problem at all. I went back to see him and was told it would be the same repair again on a different wheel. I'm not convinced and find the way that they've handled the job up to now quite shoddy! Read moreSaw the reviews and thought to do a major service few months back. Turns out that was my biggest mistake. Big boss (man with beard) is rude and quarrelsome. Always found him fighting and arguing with his own staff. May be a tactic to scare the customers off! Anyway, the ‘boss’ identified coil spring issue and asked for more money to replace. Till date, the coil issue became a nightmare for me, went there twice to fix it since it started uttering cracking noises but they said nothing wrong. Last nail in the coffin it lead to fail my MOT. Turns out that the poorly fit spring lead to more wear and tear in the suspension arm, anti roll ball link. They said they’ll charge me £110 to fix both for which I happily agreed. Later got a call saying the cost will increase since the ‘boss’ incorrectly gave the quote! I asked them to do nothing more since I don’t trust them anymore. For which they insisted to atleast fix the screen washer for £90 and replace the motor. I emphasised to not touch the car anymore since screen washer needed debris removal I can’t pay that much. Upon collection found out that car was parked tin correctly and screen washer was also working alright because they wanted to criminally charge me £90 falsely blaming the motor, whilst all it needed was airing. Again found all staff members arguing on collection of car, no ethics and no apologies. Will be following up via ombudsman to raise a dispute and compensation for making my smooth running car into a carnage nightmarish ride and causing unnecessary stress. Read moreI never like to leave a bad review but last year I had an MOT done at a different garage in bolton who had an advisory for my front brake pads to be fixed. Fast forward to April 2024, I had my MOT done here with an interim service. The MOT passed with no advisories which was a shock as I could feel my brakes becoming increasingly worse and had not had them replaced since the last MOT. I took my car into another garage last week to have my brakes looked at, the garage said the brakes were so dangerous they would not have let it leave the shop and that the garage who had done my MOT had clearly not checked them. On top of this, my oil warning light had started to come on a couple of weeks ago, when I have checked my oil it is EMPTY.
I feel as a young woman taken advantage of and that I have paid and relied on the team here after it was so highly reviewed to ensure my safety and that the car was properly serviced. Wont be returning, recommend for other car owners to check they have actually had their car serviced when...
