We got stranded in Bolton as they cancelled the train as a pelican was mowed down on the tracks. So we came out of the station and low and behold, there it is. Like a beacon shining, calling us over. Upon entry to this quaint tavern, I approached a local asking whether there was a Ronald of McDonald's in the vicinity. Sure enough he obliged and provided me with directions, whilst my travelling companions ordered some nice refreshing beverages; whilst we awaited the rescue party. The pub has a traditional Lancastrian feel with period fixtures and fittings. There is a stage for love performances of some exciting live performances. The range of drinks is quite good with all the favourites. The real jewel in the crown here is the service. If I am ever in the area again I will endeavour to end up here....

The place is welcoming and has a vibe from others that come in to enjoy themselves to. This is a must go to place with the access to public transport and help on hand from staff.
