Have been twice now for pantos at Christmas. The closest parking is Marketplace, which is reasonably priced and a short walk to the venue. There are loads of places to eat or have a drink nearby. There is always a queue to get in and the staff aren’t particularly welcoming. The building is beautiful, they ask for cash only for all stalls/programs/sweets which is annoying. Stuff is overpriced and there is a sign up to say you can’t take drinks or food in with you.

Seats are comfortable and the view of the stage is excellent from anywhere. The panto was excellent and so were all the actors for the second year running BUT the venue staff are unpleasant watching over/glaring at the audience which is unnerving. No photos or videos of the performance are allowed until the end - which is totally fine and understandable but I think it’s a unfair to ask a member of the audience to participate in the show and then not allow a quick photo on stage. The woman that told us wasn’t polite about it either. No need for the attitude.

Overall, good value for money and we like the panto itself - but the front of house staff...

Having children i’m forced to endure children’s entertainment against my will quite often 😵 However, Bolton Panto always softens this blow, with a fantastic show for children containing a subtle mix of chaotic adult humour that keeps me entertained too!!! I actually look forward to the laughs - Dame Betty & Silly Billy have never failed tbh!!! 👏🏽 🤭

Rapunzel was the best show in recent memory, Rapunzel herself cant half belt a note out too!!! Wow. Always such a talented cast in general & the ticket prices just make it good sense to take the children during the school holidays. Great value!! Additionally, the building itself.. 😍😍😍 I love that you have repurposed such a beautiful old building. My daughter can dress up for a show & feel like she’s having a special day out (which it is for her). The building is easy to navigate, staff everywhere to assist, nice layout for stage view - we usually sit on the balcony for the view. Never had any problems with sound or visibility! Highly recommend for all the family.

Thank you ALL for the laughs & the blatant hard work you so clearly do!! See you...

Visited with my niece sister and nieces friend for wizard of oz which we never saw. My niece got upset by the loud noise which echoed from the back she is 4 years old. My sister asked for a refund off the manager. He was arrogant and accused her of complaining that other people were making the noise. My sister went downstairs with her child and refused to leave. He called the police. My sister was upset. He said she was trespassing and blocking the fire exit. My sister phoned the police they came out she had done nothing wrong only the manager had said she was extremely abusive towards staff when she wasn't. I had to leave as well from the show along with my nieces friend also her age. People were staring and the security woman was rushing us out. We won't be back and I have told others who say they will not be going as well. There was no need to call the police and it was a waste of...
