Hashtag Burgers Bolton — Restaurant in Bolton

Update: Recently order accuracy has taken a hit. A couple of times in the last few orders there has been an item missing. They will usually get you the missing item if you call up though, or if u remind them of what was missed in your next order. The consistency on their peri-peri chicken and beef burgers have taken a hit too. Sometimes the beef burgers taste bland and the peri-peri chicken will smell strange. Furthermore, they've massively downgraded their wings recently which used to be a highlight for me. Not to mention they've upped their prices... in light of these changes I've reduced them to 3 stars. What a shame. Idk what's happened to this place in the last few months (I can't remember exactly when things started going wrong, but THINK it started approx 4-6 months ago but I could be wrong).

The chicken burger and milkshakes seem mostly unaffected, and even after the downgrades the quality is still above average. But that's pretty disappointing considering I used to think this place had the best in Bolton. Pretty major fall from grace imo. If you're ordering from here I'd stick to the chicken burger meals. Peri-Peri chicken and beef burgers can still be very good too, but it seems more of a gamble on quality now. The wings have gone from very good to just OK at best. They're small standard wings now. And are pretty pricey considering they didn't reduce the price after the change. I haven't tried the other stuff on the Menu, but I imagine it's much of the same for the rest of the menu.

Old Review: Good quality food, and perfect order accuracy so far.

My only negative so far is that the food was expensive, but that seems to only be the case when ordering from Just Eat. I found out that you can order from Hashtag Burgers directly instead of going through Just Eat, and the prices were much better when going to them directly.

When you order from them directly the quality-to-price ratio is great, probably among the absolute best in Bolton. Not really anything negative I can say, except that their delivery times are sometimes long, and this can sometimes lead to milkshakes melting too much. But that's a minor criticism. Their Chicken Burgers with Hashtag sauce are especially good in my opinion. Just make sure to order from them directly and not through Just Eat, because ordering it from Just Eat is a bit of a rip-off...

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE WIGAN BRANCH IF I COULD LEAVE ZERO STARS I WOULD I've ordered from here now about 5 times What started off as incredible food has now turned the complete opposite, I left a positive review for the place ,even told management I was doing that but then I ordered a few days ago and has to be the worst food I have ever been sent. It looked like the food had been cooked for some time before Being delivered to me , packaged and put in a carrier bag When I received it I opened the bag and opened my burger ,I could not even pick it up out the box, the burger bun was absolutely saturated with grease and water ,the bread was literally liquid, I needed to use two forks to lift the thing out of the box. When removing it there was grease and water swimming in the bottom of the box, the picture you see is just this and if you zoom in you will see what's left of the bun in there aswell. Then we moved on to the chips, they were not even drained after cooking and the grease was coming through the bags they where in and they were cold and rubber like in texture ,again see pics , I managed to get the beef patties off the bread and just ate those ,several hours later I had stomach pain and nausea from it It's not the first issue with them either Few weeks back I had the king Kong burger. It arrived ,the chicken I was not able to bite through it ,called them and to be fair they sent another ,but it was exactly the same . It's a shame because the first 2 times I ordered from here the food was incredible , but this last experience has led me to write this and sorry to say I won't be ordering from them again. Ordered from Bolton shop online on their website for delivery. Something went wrong with the end of the transaction and I got an error, so I called the mobile number to check the order had gone through. Chap on the phone was pleasant and polite and confirmed they had the order. Online it said delivery estimate was 50+ minutes, but the food arrived in just over 30. Driver was pleasant, didn't put the bag on the floor (which some do and it annoys the heck outta me!) and everything was well packaged. I had an Angus double burger, hubby had an Angus double smoking burger meal. The burgers were wrapped then boxed, looked very appetising, (not a thrown-together mess in a box) and smelled and tasted amazing. Juicy burgers without being greasy. Just the right amount of salad and sauce to not make the bun soggy and I'd ordered extra "turkey rasher" and onion on my Angus double, which were both present (there were actually 2 rashers), as were the extra onions on Hub's. We also ordered a Bueno waffle to share which came with a little cup of ice cream. Had plenty of Bueno pieces and sauce on it, was nice and fluffy and was a decent size for 2 to share; approx the size of a 7 inch pizza. We had milkshakes as well but I didn't get chance to take pics! The whole thing came to just over £30, but with a 20% off coupon ended up being £24+. A little on the expensive side for 2 burgers, a chips, 2 milkshakes and a waffle, but it was worth it as a treat for the quality, taste and service. Will definitely...
