Ceylon and Beyond — Local services in Bristol

These guys bought a freezer from us, they lied about what item they won when collecting and ended up with the wrong item, we then called them out and they admitted it and came back for the right item, they then laid the freezer down on it's back, we told them repeatedly not to do that as freezers should never be laid on their back, they said it will be fine, later they found the gas had escaped and tried to blame us, they then lied again and said they didn't lay it down, thankfully we took pictures. They claim ethics on their site but the complete opposite. Beware of these buyers, bad attitude… they then proceeded to leave us negative feedback after we did our best to try and help them.

Ceylon actually lied when they arrived and wanted “the silver one” which caused the issue between the fridge and freezer, had they been honest, they would have collected the right one

Lastly, we have videos of us telling them not to lay it down, they tried to squeeze it in and blame the smashed plug on us

Ceylon & Beyond catered our marquee wedding in September and we couldn't be happier with our choice. The food was absolutely incredible - our guests were raving about it - and the service was impeccable. Maddy and Harsha were very attentive in the months leading up to the wedding, responding to our queries, suggesting menu options, providing detailed allergen advice and sourcing equipment, crockery, glassware etc for us. They worked from a very small catering marquee and yet managed to provide table service to 190 people in a prompt and professional manner. When dinner was over they cleared the tables quickly and with minimal disruption and they removed all dirty crockery, cutlery and glassware from the site - making the clean up the next day much smoother for us. All round they were an excellent choice for a wedding and we couldn't recommend...

We booked these guys in Nov 23 to cater for our microfestival in Aug 24. Their communication was terrible and I consistently struggled to get hold of them. They promised me evenythibg was ok when I mentioned this was stressful and then they pulled out 24hrs before the event started. They were the only caterer doing Fri dinner, Sat 3 meals and Sunday breakfast. It totally ruined our event and caused a huge amount of stress. To add insult to injury they blamed it on drastic changes in numbers and timings. There were 140 people instead of 150 and no changes to timings at all.
