Very disappointed with customer service of the owner. The shop staff were helpful and friendly but his customer service has frustrated me. I took my late Fathers ring in for resizing to be my wedding ring. Shop lady initially measured my finger but due to the complexity of the ring mixed metals she wanted the boss to check, i went back up and he checked it the following week, as he was trying ring sizes and felt he found the correct size I had said that his choice of size felt a little tight, he felt it was the correct size as it was very hot weather, hes the jeweller so i didnt question further. 2 weeks later I went to collect the ring and it couldn't go past my knuckle comfortably, I was extremely disappointed as I wanted it for the 2nd anniversary of my Father's passing... my issue is not that it was too small, but the fact that he was clearly annoyed by this and told me 'it is alot of work to fix this' his manner and tone became curt and frustrated. I asked if i would hear in 2 weeks like before and he said I would. In 2 weeks he contacted me to say that it would be a further 3 weeks as the goldsmith was away.. he again told me how it was a alot of work to rectify. All in all I waited a further almost 6 weeks to get the ring back - again that is fine BUT no apology for the length of time, no greeting from him as I entered the shop, and generally made to feel it was all an inconvenience for him, if I had asked for a specific ring size and got it wrong then fine, but he got the size wrong and then made me feel like i was a nuisance. Awful customer service from him in my opinion. This is in one of the most affluent places in Bristol and I paid good money for the service - customer service should reflect this. The work on the ring is perfect but the customer service from the owner really really disappointing. Thank goodness the shop workers were so lovely he could take a leaf out of their books in the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe communication here is terrible! This has been the case both times i have dealt with them but gave them the benefit of the doubt first time. Firstly, they were supposed to send off my engagement ring for a new band to be made. After sitting in the shop for a week someone rang me to ask what they were supposed to be doing with it! I was told it would be back in 4 weeks. I chased after 5 weeks and they hadn't made any kind of note to remind them it was due back so eventually i got it back another week later. I good job was done on the ring (hence 2 stars) so i overlooked the terrible communication. We decided to use them last month for our wedding rings. They requested some samples from their supplier which they said would be in the following week. 3 weeks later i rang to find out what was going on. Of course they hadn't thought to chase the suppliers. They said they would chase it up and get back to me. That was 2 weeks ago...i have given up and gone to Dragon Workshop where i have received an amazing prompt service. CVJ made what should be a fun exciting part of my wedding planning...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWish I'd seen the reviews on here before I went! They ruined my ring by polishing all of the ruthenium coating off when I asked for it to be cleaned. The bloke sat in the corner then proceeded to blame me and said that I'd never get my money back for it and that he'd done a good job for only a fiver. I was clearly upset as such a sentimental item had been spoiled and there was zero sympathy. Apparently they had never seen a ring with the same kind of coating on before. Not only were they brutal in their lack of customer service when I was clearly distressed and upset but they seem to lack the required knowledge to be jewellers in the first place. My ring is a Clogau ring so not exactly unusual. Don't...
