Tamrakar — Local services in Bristol

I just LOVE this shop. I used to buy gifts there when we lived in Victoria Park but, strangely, I seem to buy more via their online shop since I have moved to Spain! Janna swiftly parcels up my orders and sends them to my sister in Kent and I collect them when I visit or when she comes to me. I have bought many pashminas and throws, (our cats love the Nepali shawls that sit on the backs of our sofa and chairs but mysteriously make their way down to the seat. Ahem...), five for me (so far) and several more as gifts. I have also bought earrings for an American friend and a silver pendant for me. If you follow Tamrakar on Insta, they have seasonal competitions and announce their sales. The prices are excellent when you consider the jewellery is handmade and the pashminas bought on buying trips. Tamrakar is a fantastic shop. It offers an incredibly wide range from, basic and beautiful chains and studs, to exquisite pieces that I think are quite unique. These are all sold at very reasonable prices. I have spent ages trying on different jewellery and their lovely staff have always offered amazing customer care and advice as I've tried to make up my mind. The free alteration service they've given me on resizing jewellery I've bought is just great.

It's fantastic to have such a brilliant shop that's so local. I look forward to going there to get Xmas pressies for family and friends and maybe sneak one...

This is my absolute favourite jewellers, I have been buying items from here for over 10 years now, lots for myself but also many gifts for other people. Every piece of jewellery is beautifully made and individual, and really great quality. They also do top notch repairs and I have taken advantage of this service over the years too! No idea why I haven't left a review sooner - this was prompted by finding Tamrakar had a stall at Volksfest yesterday and my partner buying a stunning bracelet for me. Fabulous...
