A very cool bar with a laid-back, classy vibe. The rotating beer menu is loaded with local goodness and guests. The bar staff are knowledgeable, friendly and skilled when it comes to multitasking and service. I'd definitely recommend this pub!

Very nice place to hang out! Great layout with some comfortable couches . Nice and chill atmosphere to meet a group of friends. Good beer selection. Has a large outside patio area that is covered! The toilets are also nice and clean

We are the only foreigners! We met two old ladies and they were really energetic. Sooo cute! The band is awesome and the atmosphere is pretty cool. A pub for local people! Well worth to visit and take a drink!

A group visited for a birthday drink which coinsided with the Euro's finial. Understandably the drink service was a little slow. As staff swept about the pitch in a 4-4-2 delivery pattern. Reading other reviews about Sunday Roast , well crisps seemed to be all that was available. However with a 19:30 booking and an 8pm kick off! Crisps were simply a welcome distraction to stop the bitting of nails or nerves during the second half. With both extra time then Pens it was clear the staff had past the levels of all the training during the qually's. IMhO the management should have foreseen and made substitutions to easy the strain. Tensions reached boiling point 10 pens in and well, some staff buckled. The ⚽ game was over 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 finished second. It was at this point the signs within the exhausted team showed even further. After a member of their security team whom had asked everyone to remain seated throughout the game. Blocked the view of the screen, which OFC encouraged patrons to stand so they might see the pens. A friend was asked to leave (I don't know why, but clearly the uncomfortable feelings I imagine their security staff felt with 100+ people standing cheering and in utter disappointment, clearly had an impact) I returned a jacket to my friend and was also asked to leave (without explanation) OK they where tired and pushed past breaking point, so not securities fault. It was past the penalty shootout so was winding down anyway. The atmosphere was amazing throughput the game. Without any incident dispite the large numbers. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 played wonderfully The Crane management team should take a close look at their stategy next season and provided a better planned solution taking into consideration the mental well-being of all their staff, whom for the most part performed admirably. No subs, no breaks and work pressures which might add to stress levels and no planned procedures or measures to mitigate incidents to staff or punters. If I were allowed back into your establishment I wouldn't choose to visit it again. My admiration to the service your staff provided. Alongside my utter disappointment that management's lack of planning or foresight added friction to a situation that was always going to be emotional. I am thankful that AFAIK nobody was...

Having lived in Bedminster for a while, we have been to the Steam Crane a few times and always experienced good service.

However when we visited on the May Bank Holiday we experienced quite the opposite. There was a BBQ on in the garden so we placed an order for prawn skewers and vegetable skewers. After waiting 25 minutes they arrived, however the skewers were lukewarm at best, including the prawns which were under cooked. We complained and the manager apologised, offered us free drinks and promised to bring us two fresh sets of skewers which he would personally ensure were piping hot. Unfortunately 15 minutes later there was no sign of our replacement food, the BBQ was unmanned and the manager had completely disappeared. We decided to call it a day, got a refund, and left as soon as we could.

Not sure if this was down to a change in management or just a bank holiday blip, but we were really disappointed with the service on...

Fun evening attending a friend’s birthday upstairs in the function room (a great space). Staff had been positive prior and was all going really well. About 10 mins before the end of the party, the owner came up looking very angry and wanted to stop the party. As far as I was aware, there was no prior complaint shared with our group. He was very annoyed and tried to go over to the speaker to switch it off. One girl tried to pull him back over as there was two people still singing, he turned around and got in her face aggressively. He continued to be aggressive towards several members of our party.

Such a shame to see that response and, if that is how customers are treated, I won’t be coming back. Disappointing...
