These guys are obviously trusted by a lot of Merc / Smart owners around Bristol. I gave them my newly bought Smart for a limp (safe) mode fault and they did everything they could to diagnose the problem. There were no faults registered in the system and they could not make the same fault occur again which obviously makes it difficult from their point of view. Over 3 days of having it they did several checks, suggested a few possible causes but did no remedial work. They charged me nothing because the problems weren't fixed. I can't fault them on that count.
The one thing that really lets this place down is the attitude and unprofessionalism from one individual who I believe is the owner. I was asked to take my car away and never to return it all because I suggested a part that a friend (a true Smart enthusiast and specialist mechanic, unfortunately for me based in Watford!) was certain was causing the problem. In short, the owner said that the part does not exist and that I should tell my friend that he doesn’t know what he’s on about and raved on about how he has 13 years experience, knows these cars like the back of his hand etc etc. It turns out that the part in question has two names and is actually more commonly known by the name I gave it (including the parts supplier at Merc). It also turns out that replacing that part myself, took 45 minutes, cost next to nothing and has completely resolved the problem.
I’m not here to slate this garage and I’m explaining my experience as honestly as possible – hopefully it will be of some use to those considering using 3 Points. It should also be noted that every other person I spoke to there was friendly, approachable and seemed...
Read moreHIGHLY RECOMMEND, FANTASTIC!! Recently I had the experience of being given an estimate by a Mercedes Benz dealer (in South London where I reside) to replace my audio system to the value of £2,300. They told me the system was burnt out and needed replacing (this was after I’d already paid them £120 for the car to have a diagnostic check)
On the recommendation of my sister I travelled to Bristol to Three Points Garage for a second opinion, and after inspection they advised me that the problem was a missing fuse for the audio system which had been removed. I am so very thankful for the honesty and professionalism of such a garage and also for the minimal repair bill.
I would fully recommend this garage to be known for the excellent service they provide. I will definitely be using them again, for future maintenance of...
Read moreI had an intermittent problem with the roof of my Convertible CLK and was looking for a local independent Mercedes garage to diagnose the issue.
I arrived without an appointment and spoke with a really helpful chap (Paul?) who came out and looked over my car and the roof and knew exactly where to try to find the problem. His years of experience shone through and I was amazed that within 10 minutes the roof was opening and closing (but would need adjustment in the near future)
I'm so confident in this place that I will be returning for them to carry out my next 'big service'
Brilliant friendly customer service that has ensured my future custom.
5 stars...
