Burrito Kitchen Merry Hill — Restaurant in Dudley

I got served by Kelly today for the first time trying Burrito Kitchen during my lunch break. Firstly I just want to say, Kelly had a really positive attitude, excellent customer service skills and overall she is incredibly polite and perfect for a customer facing role.

Price:

I thought in all honesty it was a bit expensive for what it was, a burrito and a drink for near enough £12.00 is a bit steep for lunch time so if I ever fancy a burrito, the price does kind of put me off a little bit, think it would be very useful if you implemented some sort of lunch time deal where you discount if say someone wants a burrito with a drink or something?

Food Quality,

Everything was quite fresh, there was a huge portion as Kelly convinced me to go for the large burrito, I couldn't finish it all so my eyes were bigger than my belly (shockingly) but I must say, whilst it did taste nice, I was expecting there to be more flavour, perhaps that's because I went for the mild flavour salsa but it just seemed to lack the flavour I imagined but overall, it was nice and filling and certainly different to my usual lunch time.

Overall:

Highlight of the lunchtime visit was the customer service, Kelly deserves a raise (especially with those prices 👀) and the food was good, just the price does put me off coming back...

DIRTY, METAL SCREW FOUND IN MY BURRITO. Absolutely disgusted. I have eaten here many times and never had much of an issue, but yesterday I ordered a burrito- as I was eating it the rice was hard and undercooked so I took it back and asked them to remake it, and they did. I sat down to eat it, took one bite and LUCKILY (otherwise I could have swallowed it or broken my teeth!) looked into the burrito to see a rusty, dirty, metal screw inside it. Absolutely vile. We were in complete shock, and so lucky that the bite was just before the screw or that would have been a trip to the hospital. We obviously took it back- they snatched it away so other people wouldn’t see with barely an apology and simply gave us our money back. I will be reporting this to food safety, plus they continued to stay open after this and serve others???? when their ingredients were clearly contaminated. Shocking customer service! I stood for a fair couple of minutes waiting to be served, all FOUR members of staff made eye contact with me. Another 2 minutes pass and not a single member of staff has acknowledged me to either serve me or let me know they’ll be with me shortly. One member of staff emptied sour cream into a pot as slowly as she possibly could, looked at me and proceed to go stand in the back area, a bald man looked at me and decided to stand in the back and pretend to scribble down notes after making eye contact with me?! And then went to take the bins out lol. Finally a member of staff shrugged himself over and was about to serve me but proceeded to pick his nose before putting gloves on, didn’t even bother to wash his hands.
