Harper’s British Classics — Restaurant in Dudley

I usually go here when I’m in merry hill and often use too good to go here aswell. I am usually happy with the food and service I get. Especially from the two female managers one named Charlie. They always cater for my dietary requirements and do a simple swap of pie if required to keep me happy.

However on a couple of occasions there is one particular staff member that is rather rude and unhelpful. The young blonde girl. The last time I went I just asked her if she could swap an item. She said she couldn’t. I told her politely that the managers do it for me. It would take her less than 30 seconds and there is nobody other customers there at the time. She spoke to me rudely slammed the boxes on the counter like a little stroppy child then swapped the pie. The male manager also useless not intervening to correct her manner said ‘you don’t get to choose with too good to go’. Allowed her to speak to me in this manner and act this way right infront of him. Poor management allowing that behaviour. I didn’t say anything took my food but wasn’t happy with the service obviously.

I think this girl is racist and needs to be sacked tbh. Never helpful, never service with a smile prior either.

I might write a formal complaint. Nobody deserves to be treated this way. All other staff are kind...

I’ve been visiting the Harper’s outlet in Merry Hill for many years. During this time, I have never been anything less than delighted with every aspect of what Harper’s deliver and I’ve especially enjoyed the delicious food. Following my most recent visit on 07/04, I was invited to leave some feedback and thought it would be an ideal opportunity to thank the Team at Harper’s for their years of providing excellent food and outstanding service. The Harper’s colleague who served me on this occasion was Donna and she was a credit to her employers as well as colleagues. Due to specific dietary requirements, I required vegetarian sausages and these were made fresh for me quickly. Of course it rightly took a few minutes to prepare the sausages and Donna was kind enough to set my expectations around wait time. When everything was ready, I watched Donna prepare my food, which she did with care and attention. She went out of her way to use the utensils specific for vegetarians and while this is the standard for all establishments which prepare food, I have often seen cross contamination at other restaurants. The service and food at Harper’s have consistently been well above my highest expectations, definitely...

I visited here today paid extortionate price for the meal which only gave me 3 roast potatoes small ones . I asked for another roast potato and she gave me a measly tiny one whilst other customers got the huge roasties so how is it fair ? Also at the end of the day I witnessed in horror them throwing ALL the food in big bags at closing time just after serving me . So They’d rather throw food then give and all the people and children starving in the world and sickened me to My stomach that they’d rather throw good food out when could Give to homeless or at least the staff could Take it home !!!!!!! Saw tons of roasties , mash , apple crumble . Pies all Go Straight into the bin nothing was wrong With the food .
