Huge disappointment.

I received a beautiful pink hat box of mixed chocolates from Audrey’s from my husband for our first anniversary. I was absolutely delighted when opening them- as you can see, the box was gorgeous and so was the wrapping. Therefore, at least 2 stars is given for the packaging alone.

However, I was incredibly disappointed with the quality of chocolate inside. From a 300g single layer box costing £60, only around 5 chocolates were actually nice, and a few more only just edible. More than half the box got thrown away. Really awful tasting. The quality felt cheap too surprisingly!

Now, I have never been to the store or ordered directly from Audrey’s other than this box, but I knew about them as my favourite chocolates are Rose and Violet Creams at Fortnums which Audrey’s claim to make. So, I was sure I would like this hat box, since they even included some rose and violet creams in the box. Nope! Completely different! For “research” I have had 2 boxes of fortnums (made by Audrey’s) rose and violet creams in the last month since, and both have been completely stripped of flavor and quality.

In addition, I emailed their customer service a few months back about a general equiry and didn’t ever get a reply. So 2 stars removed for taste and 1 for poor customer service in this review.

Fantastic chocolates. I bought this via their website and created my own box, focusing very heavily on the strawberry fondants which were so good I'm thinking about eating another one as I type this. These are going to be my go to choice for special occasions. The packaging is exquisite - a lovely heavy box in duck egg blue with a sliding drawer and beautifully wrapped with tissue. As a gift, this makes a real statement.

The staff are very friendly and responsive. I had a brief issue and what a pleasant change it was to be able to send an email and then receive a phone call from a real human being ready and able to amend things. This alone elevates them beyond so many other online purchasing...

Absolutely love Audrey’s chocolates. My husband has been buying Audrey’s chocolates for me for a number of years both at their store and through Florian’s of Hove another local business, a florists. They are outstanding in their quality both in their product and their customer service. My husband loves visiting and taking a step back in time in the beautiful interior and has always received exemplary service with as much help as needs and the chocolate selection that the staff have made for him has always been spot on.
