I really love this park. It is a fantastic size with lots of benches in both open areas and quieter/more secluded ones if you want to relax with a good book or enjoy a peaceful lunch break outside. Dogs are allowed to roam freely and you will very often find an abundance of them running around off-lead. This is a plus for me as I adore them, however it may not be for everyone if you're uncomfortable with this. There is a little pond full of fish as well as many squirrels and birds to watch (before the dogs chase them off!) which is lovely. It has a playground which is always appreciated if you have kids, however it seems to be mostly geared towards younger children (my 8 year old found it to be a little boring/not challenging enough). A café is always a bonus, and St Ann's Well has a very nice one with a good variety of options for a park café. All in all, one of my favourite local parks when I fancy some time alone or a meet up...

Tolerable. Not as lovely as Preston or Hove or Wish parks or even Queen’s Park. It needs someone who can fund raise to improve it. It’s very run down, clogged with weeds, slippy when wet and lethal if there’s ice. Built on and around a hill and was lovely when created but years of low and no maintenance has taken its toll. It has a café (bring your credit card) with generic food but at least it’s there. The toilets, yea gods !! It’s a shame there isn’t a good volunteer group to pull it out of its decay. It’s very sad to see such a tiny space so wilfully neglected. I do hope it gets some funding and help in the next few years or it will become a no-go zone at any...

Always a pleasure to spend time here. It would be nice to see a new more benches does along the woodland paths as it's quite difficult for the elderly and infirmed with the inclines. Despite being small, there are lots of different areas to explore. We enjoyed the scented sensory garden, the newts in the pond, the play park, feeding the many squirrels, watching the tennis. The only problem was the garden Cafe which is a criminal rip off with its£7 for two pieces of bread and one slice of cheap thin bacon. We've been double charged too many times for it to be an incident mistake too. So bring a picnic and a blanket and just nip to the cafe for the odd...

A hidden gem, a varied spot with a very Rich history. Pop into the cafe (grab a toastie), pick up a guide book and travel through the park's past. Of particular note is a tree stump near where, Lee, Queen of the Gypsies had her caravan, which makes for an ideal altar to read or cast. Don't miss out on the opportunity to brush up on some ornithology. Beware the squirrels, they are becoming increasingly interested in human affairs.

Beautiful gardens, There is a wide range of native and exotic trees giving the gardens their unique character and providing shelter and tranquillity for wildlife. Nature conservation is important in the park - there are designated fenced off areas, a scented garden for the visually impaired and a well stocked pond with a biological filter system. Definitely worth a visit.🌱🌿🌾💚

Great park but ruined by the rude old people. Basically the only space my two kids can safely learn to ride their bikes and we just get procession of rude pensioners shouting at the kids. The one pictured was shockingly awful to the poor kids, daughter 6 ended up in tears. No cycling is for adults, not to rule out a shared space for families in a city.
