I donât usually write reviews, also because I work in the industry and I know how hard it is. With this in mind, I do have to comment on the lack of service from this cafe on this occasion. Me and my partner had ordered food, and on my breakfast was quite obviously a human (or animal) hair on my plate. Omce when I made the server aware, they were initially polite and took the food back to the kitchen to discuss with the chefs. What came next I did not expect, but it was explained to me that this in fact wasnât a hair, but a âherbâ. Now, I donât know what sort of herb looks like this, but it was quite obvious that if this was a micro herb of some sort then this would be scattered along the plate (and not just one). I was told that no animals are allowed in the establishment, and the chef doesnât have any hair - so this could not be the case. Nonetheless, I asked if it could be made again (politely) due to my hesitation. Momentarily after, the server allowed 2 dogs to come in, and the chef came out to take the order, with a moustache matching the exact colour of the hair on my plate. Laughable. Overhearing my concern, my remade meal was dumped on my table with no word from the server and no apology. I work in hospitality myself, so again I know re-making food can be annoying, but in the case where hygiene becomes involved that does open the establishment up for questioning, and at the least, a transactional apology of the food off should be normal. Not the case - wonât...

I have had some bad service in my time, but this experience was nothing short of disgusting. If you have any respect for basic hygiene or customer service, do yourself a favour and stay far away from this place.
This morning, I ordered a simple apple juice, expecting a normal, clean drink. Instead, I was treated to the stomach-churning sight of the waitress cleaning the inside of my glass with her finger AT THE TABLE IN FRONT OF MEâwhile my juice was already in it. Yes, you read that correctly. When that (shockingly) didnât work, she took my filthy glass and poured the same apple juice into a different glass, as if that somehow made it better.
Naturally, I politely asked for a fresh drinkâbecause who in their right mind would accept that level of filth? But when she returned, she slammed the glass onto the table with a passive-aggressive âThere you goâ before walking off without another word.
No apology. No concern. Just blatant rudeness and complete disregard for cleanliness.
I shudder to think whatâs going on in their kitchen if this is how they treat drinks in full view of customers. I wouldnât trust them to pour a glass of water, let alone prepare food.

I only stopped in for a quick bite to eat for breakfast, and I had a blast. I had the healthy brunch bowl, where everything was well cooked and seasoned, and as a non-vegan, still thoroughly enjoyed it and wouldnât have said anything was missing. The chunky avocado was a great touch too, way better than the mushy stuff. To drink I had the health elixir - or in normal terms, a honey, lemon, tumeric and ginger tea. Fresh and vibrant, it was perfectly sweet and spicy, and very delicious indeed. The vibes in the place are spot on, being friendly and welcoming like the staff, and the decor is just fabulous with all the random vintage bits and bobs around the place. They offer cakes too, but itâs the large food selection, creative and tasty, and extensive drinks options, especially teas, which makes this...
