Been back many times for the usual Saturday Market and still love it. Loads of restaurants and shops in the area. We park on Grayburn Lane Car Park and pay for the day (weekend, the 'day' lasts until the Monday morning) so not stressed or rushing!

Love Beverley, a place to wander and find hidden gems.

We enjoy the usual markets and the special events. This time it was the Food and Drink Festival. Absolutely packed, hang onto your kids and watch out for push chair ankle biters.

A wide variety of local and further afield goodies. Plenty of tastings to try out at different stalls.

Car Parks - free on a Sunday, otherwise make sure you get a car park ticket, wardens abound even on Sunday to make sure people don't park on yellow lines I assume!

Accessibility - Beverley is an old Town so some cobbles.

Lots of events at various locations throughout the year.

Toilets - no idea, we use cafes, stores...

At the heart of Beverley, Saturday Market is a large, open area and car park surrounded by banks, shops, pubs and cafés which, for most of the week is well worth a visit in its own right. Notice the Market Cross supported by eight columns dating from the early 18th Century and beautifully lit up at night. Sit over a coffee and enjoy the architectural skyline, particularly the colourful tiled roofs which are a delight in themselves. On Saturday, however a transformation takes place. The market is held there from 8.00 am to 4.00pm and provides a variety of excellent stalls. There are crafts, cheeses, coffees, food to take away, garden produce, bakeries, pies, art- work, house signs and sea food to name but a few. I have been impressed by the quality of many of the market stalls and the vibrant and busy atmosphere. Well...

Visit weekly to help reduce waste. Love the fruit and veg stall at the top near toll gavel. They're very accommodating to my request for no packaging. Nice products. Also enjoy the curry (although haven't asked about no packaging, a guilty treat and I re use the tubs and use my own bag). The pork scratchings do a kilner jar refill and the blending room coffee is lovely although I visited them directly for coffee without packaging... They have previously attempted and are currently looking into solutions to do this again, whilst keeping the coffee beans fresh. The fish man will also place products into my tubs. A lovely selection of products...

Saturday market in the centre of Beverley is a good market. There is a good variety of food stalls and lots of other Traders selling all kinds of things from clothes to dog beds. You'll never know what you're going to find. During the week it is a good sized car park, although a few spaces have been lost by coffee shops putting tables on the parking spaces. There are lots of pubs and cafes around the edges of the market it's a great place to visit. Once a year on a Wednesday night in June there is a classic car show attracting hundreds of cars and thousands of visitors.
