Dunelm — Local services in Great Britain

Arrived to find a long queue and the only menu was up high too far away to see from where we were. So I grabbed the only menu on a nearby stand only to be told by cafe staff that the only menu needed to stay in that area. We then joined the massive que with no idea of what was available to order. When we did order, we were asked for a table number, we picked one and gave the number….only to then see that some new people had sat there, I advised the cafe staff what had happened and that we had changed to another table, only to be told i should have left my bag on the table so no one sat there whilst we were ordering!!! When food arrived it was the worst breakfast bap I’d ever tasted, think all the contents were either microwaved, or cooked from frozen? Totally inedible. Will never return, in short RUDE staff and...

Wanted to return two boxed ceiling lights from an online order. We had purchased July, but not used all of the 5. When we visited Taunton store in September, we were told we had gone outside of the 30 day refund limit and could only swap them, for items of like value. As we live 20 miles away, not convenient. We returned today and were immediately given a full refund. Having done.so, the store couldn't give a paper receipt and nothing was forthcoming online. We discussed this with staff, who could only verbally reassure us, a refund would be processed. An SMS text arrived about an hour later, so hopefully the money will appear.

I like Dunelm itself. Always a good atmosphere and always a good place to come for the things you need (or may think you need!) But the restaurant area is awful. The service I received was so bad, I had to repeat my order about 4 times and when she finally got it , the lady said "I can only do one thing at a time". Love all I asked for was a hot drink. She was seriously rude and I can understand it can be a busy atmosphere but it was only a few of us in the queue (3 people). Not happy with this service, but the drink was good. Just needs to improve on the customer service because I won't be returning to the restaurant area...
