I joined HotPod Swansea nearly a month ago, and wanted to say how friendly and safe the environment is for practising yoga. One can develop their yoga practice at their own pace, whilst still being encouraged to push their limits - this is usually a very delicate balance, but all the instructors seem to have this down to a tee.
In between practises, you can meet a large number of long-time members, which is a faithful testament to the healthy nature of the studio. I have noticed that, although our interactions are in passing, a lot of the members and the instructors take the time congratulate and encourage each other to continue and develop. There is always positive body and mind reinforcement at the beginning and at the end of each class, which can set the tone for the remainder of the day.
The studio, which is always well-maintained and fragrant, has a price list which may be accessed through the user-friendly HotPod app. Whilst at first glance, the price list may appear to be on the dearer side, my opinion is that the classes conducted are invaluable - as what is truly the price of excellent mental and physical health? After the introductory offer, I purchased a monthly membership, which has been absolutely the right thing for me. In these few weeks, apart from the physical benefits, the mental fortitude granted has been life-changing.
As a person and as a medical professional, I would encourage every individual to attend Swansea's HotPod - they are...
Read moreI didn't ever think I could like, yet alone love, Yoga - I have the attention span of a flea and am not remotely flexible. However I have been attending Hotpod for about four years and I love it. I love the dimly lit environment (so nobody can see me wobble and fall over) and the heat and the music help so much in keeping me focused. I travel a round trip of two hours to attend Hotpod - which is an indication of how great the experience is.
Personally, my flexibility has substantially improved - I will never be great (my flexibility and balance is beyond awful). However, my strength has significanly improved and my body feels SO much better.
All the teachers are fantastic (without exception). Classes are similar whoever takes the class but I do enjoy the variety of personalities and focus and each person brings something different.
Finally, everybody who attends is lovely and friendly. I have never been made to feel uncomfortable. You will be offered friendly advice and kind words yet nobody is intrusive.
Yes I love HOTPOD...
Read moreHot Pod Yoga came into my life 4/5 years ago, I can't remember exactly because it feels like I've been practicing all my life! Every class is different, meaning you never get bored! Everyone is on their own yoga journey, and the teachers support and guide you to challenge yourself every lesson, or take it easy if you need to. You're never frowned upon if you have an off day, or can't touch your toes! The warmth of the pod is a cucoon of loveliness, and the beautiful ambient lighting, smell and music allows you to really relax and feel away from the rest of the world (This isn't a random gym hall, oh no!) It's the only place I enjoy practicing yoga in Swansea, and can't recommend it enough to everyone! Everyone is welcome, age, gender, ability, nobody is...
