Went here for the first time last night. A bit of a hip, young and up and coming place to be. Nice friendly and mannerly staff. Clean, music a bit too loud for my personal taste. Loved the ice cream, I had salted caramel and peanut butter. My friend also enjoyed hers. All in all a very enjoyable evening, all except for one huge issue. Every single item is served on/in single use plastic. We spoke to the manager about it. He was very pleasant and explained the reasoning behind it. We had a good discussion about it and he agreed it was not the best thing to use, but went on to say it was because the shop was so busy, people didn't want to wait, sometimes people left with their ice cream. While I accept that while some of the above may be an issue occasionally, I really don't accept that there is not a solution. I am no traditionalist, but I do think using glasses that can be washed as well as spoons that can be washed is not such a huge leap. The manager said it was also down to manpower for washing the glasses. Not an insurmountable problem I would say.The youth of today are so much more environmentally aware and perhaps a few more of them raising this issue will help bring about change. This is a relatively new buisness, ( in Finniston anyway) why not lead the way with some innovative, cutting edge and enviromentally...

Awful Experience – I’ll Never Be Back

Ordered one Sundaes ice cream for takeaway and honestly, the whole system is a joke. You don’t get a receipt no order number, nothing. I was just left standing there. Then one of the staff told me to take a seat and she’d find me and bring my order. The place was busy so I thought, Wow, they must have amazing memories to remember who ordered what (sarcasm).

15 minutes passed — nothing. I went back and politely asked a young girl about my order. She was lovely and said she’d check. Came back a few minutes later and said it’s on the way. Waited another 10 minutes. Still nothing.

By then I’d had enough. Told the girl I didn’t want it anymore. She didn’t say a word. Went back to the queue and waited another 5 minutes for a refund. The cashier looked surprised and said she’d check with whoever was in charge. I honestly thought someone might come over with the ice cream or at least an apology. Nope — she just opened the till and handed me my Ā£7 back, no explanation, no proper apology.

As a manager myself, I know mistakes happen. But how you deal with them is what really matters. Whoever’s running that place clearly doesn’t understand basic customer service. Maybe try printing out order numbers instead of shouting across the room asking who ordered what. Total shambles. I’ll...

A disappointing visit to Big Licks.

We were greeted upon entry, asked if we were sitting in or taking away, were gestured towards a table but very quickly forgotten about. The table and seats could've done with a quick wipe down as there was sticky residue and crumbs left.

After sitting for 10/15 minutes without menus or even a glance over at our table, we eventually caught eyes with who I can only assume was the manager who then spoke to our 'waitress' who in turn brought over food splattered paper menus and gave a half hearted apology for forgetting about us. We again sat for 10 mins waiting on an order to be taken, to then be informed again by the manager (not the wait staff) that orders were taken at the counter.

Once the food eventually arrived it was decent, but not worth the price in my opinion. Too much sauce on an already very sweet dish just overwhelmed the whole dessert. To be given plastic cutlery with a regular plate was a bit a strange, either make it all disposable or don't.

I'd like to think that my experience was an isolated issue but unfortunately this dessert shop has left...

This is one place you will surely try, either if you are young or young at heart. The limited but mouth licking variety in the house. The ice cream and sorbets have consistency and texture that hold for long. The one scoop is big enough to fulfill all your desires and, at the same time, it satisfies your hunger. The waffles cones were awesome and held ice cream for long. You can get cheesecakes, cookies, and one and only Falooda. It was the only place in Glasgow where I had decent falooda, but it failed my expectations as I who grow in Mumbai suburbs where you get the best falooda. The only problem was with falooda was noodles were dry and a little hard. But I enjoyed all other items on the shelves. Overall, the experience was great, and the kids had a blast.

Lovely milkshakes but there was too much cream on mine. Im writing this now just after ive finished drinking it and my throat is dry with the amount of cream. All it takes is a little at the top but its drowned in cream. The presentation was nice but there was just too much cream but over all it i loved the milkshake.. its just the cream that ruined it. The cost though is too high, £4 just for a milkshake. The waitress looked stoned aswell.. she was slurring her words and she took us to a table that was reserved for other people!

What a pile of poo. 8 of us went. One ordered a cheesecake which was so sickly sweet it was inedible. I got an apple pie which for some reason had custard in it which was yuck. My friend got a ferreo milkshake which he enjoyed. My wife got cookie dough which was had a sour taste. My daughter got a hair in her scoop of ice cream. I would have complained if there was anyone worth complaining too. Standards have slipped off the chart here. Will not be back. Going to stick to Ben & Jerry tubs from now on.
