Hi me and my wife popped over to Ludlow Antique market this morning itโ€™s a marvellous place to visit , BUT we would like to put our point across and make others aware to be careful. We stud next to a elderly gentleman this morning who was selling some gold to a market trader , NOW we are not stupid and a lot of people know that gold is so high in price per gram at the moment. But he offered him a very little price , the gentleman did except it , we know itโ€™s his decision but we felt as if he had taken advantage of him as the trader told him it was a great price with very small profit , after the gentleman had left the store, the trader popped over to his mate laughing ๐Ÿ˜‚ bragging he got a really bargain , I really wouldnโ€™t have bothered writing this BUT his attitude afterwards. This is giving antique traders a bad name , I believe most are honest people so donโ€™t let this put you off . If you have gold or silver for sale make time and deal with bullion dealers they would give the best price. Weโ€™ve been a few times and purchased some lovely antiques from dealers at a fair price , SO donโ€™t be put off . I was merely...

Ludlow in known as one of the nicest villages in the UK, especially at Christmas due to it's historical ornate Tudor buildings that are full of character. And after my recent visit I can confirm that this is very true!

Ludlow has some nice restaurants, pubs, and quaint little shops that are perfect for buying gifts that are different to those you will find in chain stores, albeit at fairly expensive prices. However, there is not a huge amount of shops and you could probably walk around them all in an hour or two. Ludlow also has a market, very small museum, a castle, and major supermarkets. I have not visited the castle yet though.

Nearby is the River Teme, another very nice scenic area in Ludlow. The river has mini man made waterfalls in places that create a "white water" effect, this makes the river look interesting and is a pleasure to walk along.

Ludlow is a totally recommended village to visit, at any time...

A fantastic local market with an excellent array of stalls. The chap on the large vegetable stall provided all the flowers for my daughter's wedding. I told him of the colours that I wanted and he provided a beautiful selection of flowers and foliage at a very reasonable price. He was extremely helpful and even loaned me containers so that I could transport them to the venue safely. I also bought large decorative jugs from the Staffordshire pottery stall to arrange the wedding flowers in. The man on this stall went out of his way to source different patterns on each of the 12 jugs. I have bought several items from the pottery stall and the have all been well made and very good value. I can also highly recommend the cheese van and the fish van!! Excellent and friendly customer service from both. Ludlow Market is well worth a visit....and...

On our stay in Ludlow Shropshire...when visiting the town it's a must to have a look around the Castle Square market.....It is open 5 days a week from 9am to 4 pm and is closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays.......It's best to park in the Castle Street carpark, then it's just a short walk to this thriving hub of this lovely historic town......There are plenty of stalls to browse around each selling a different range of products....The busiest day was on the Saturday when there were more stalls despite the bad weather being cold and wet...We can highly recommend a visit if you are in the area....๐Ÿ‘

During our visit to Ludlow we browsed the Sunday Market. On Sunday it was a flee Market selling antiques and other assorted oddities. There was numerous stalls and the atmosphere was relaxed. The Market is every day I think with different goods on sale on different days, check out the market website which let's you know what's on offer. Whilst at the market we had our lunch at the Silver Grill food truck. The burger ๐Ÿ” I had was tasty and so was my cup of tea ๐Ÿต. Prices are really reasonable too. ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Such diverse produce. From home made aprons to Greek olives. It has it's regular stalls. The fruit and veg and plant stalls. People selling home made food and a pet stall. But come any day (not Tuesdays it's closed) and there will be something different. Sunday tends to be an antique market, and there are small shops, bakery and butcher, a deli clothing shop around the square too.
