First the positive. The waitresses in the restaurant are hardworking, efficient and very polite. Thank goodness they didn't call us, "Pals", or "You guys" .... that irritates me intensly. Secondly, I had the mushroom pizza, which was wonderful. The only slight criticism here is that the mushrooms were not very evident on the pizza. It could have done with some "placed" on the top to "dress" it, to make it visually more appealing.
With regard to the starters, we were a little non-plussed, as we couldn't really tell form the descriptions as to what would be really presented to us ..... we chose ciabatta and tomatoes. Dissapointing. It didn't look like ciabatta and I don't know whether the tomatoes were supposed to be cooked or not .... but they weren't.
There's a similar story on the desserts .... however I didn't have one as I had gorged myself silly on the pizza. However, being a dessert fan I did study that part of the menu and was, like the starters, unable to decipher just EXACTLY what I would be getting ... there's nothing worst than choosing the wrong dessert!
Now, the big criticism. My table was upstairs, a somewhat cavernous and featureless room, bare walls, high ceiling and therein lies the problem. The noise that was rattling around this room from all the diners and service, was very unpleasant. I suggest the restaurant should employ sound control measures to tame it. This is easily done by "stick-up" panels that can be bought from Amazon et al. I suspect the noise problem may be less downstairs and of course there is the opportunity to also sit outside!
Once again, 5 stars to...
Read moreI don't even know what was the best, it's so hard to choose. The food was just great - we had 3 different flavours, each one of them was great. Plenty of toppings, plenty of taste. I had Shropshire Shrooms and I've never seen so many mushrooms on one pizza. I can't remember the other one, however it was with lamb. Plenty of meat, sauce, coriander made the pizza delicious. 3rd one was for kids, with pepperoni. They don't usually like pizzas in restaurants and the loved this one. Staff was very friendly, all of them. We didn't even have chance to sit down properly and ladies were there already with big bottle of water, cups, cutlery and menus. They even offered my kids some colouring cards to keep them entertained. I was there with the dog, I'm not sure if he was allowed inside as I didn't even ask but he was definitely allowed outside. Even my dog was offered big bowl of water and a treat - free of charge.
Great place to eat. Great food, great atmosphere, I will definitely be back there and will recommend to friends. It's not expensive as well, for 3 pizzas and a beer we spent £37, I don't think it's much for such good quality...
Read moreWhat an amazing place, I cook pizza at home, wood fired. Sourdough ect. I love pizza and crave what I make at home when on Holidays or just out and about, also like to give places a go for ideas on pizzas (some of wild!)
This is the 1st pizza place that i didnt regret forking out for a pizza. Like a coal fired oven, thin and crispy like bar style. Abdoloutly loved it.
Had the Shropshire shrooms pizza, the nuts, and blue cheese are absoloutly amazing togeather.
Staff were so welcoming, origninally was having just in a takeout box to walk around and eat, ended up sitting outside was offered plates, vase water to drink, even ended up buying another pizza to try 😅 Absoloutly no push for anything. Staff are above and beyond. Keep up the good work, let that pizza speak for itself.
