Taste Ludlow — Restaurant in England

Well as i have to give 1 star to write a review... but i actually had nothing to review.

We walked in and said we wanted to sit in, one of the servers advised us it was table service GREAT!... We headed outside and within two minutes the same woman came outsite.

First she served a couple who had just turned up, fair enough but she did ask another couple who had been there a while another question and walked back in. We were a bit like "oh ok maybe just giving us a minute to have a think"

Another 3 minutes later another local couple sat down with their groceries and a different server came out straight away and took their order...not even a glance over to us or to ask if we had been served.

Another 2 minutes and the first woman came back to tell a couple that a table inisde was now free.

In all we waited around 7 to 8 minutes with no service and yet other tables right right next to us being served.

We headed the costa just 30 seconds from here to what was quick service, friendly staff and good...

We were just passing by on the way to the castle and stumbled across Taste At No 1. The coffee and cake were excellent but what made it for us was the Gin selection and the chat with the owner/manager who is a great guy, very knowledgeable and friendly. Our challenge to him was to find a Gin my wife could drink as she is not really a gin fan. He SUCCEEDED!! ...with Bobbies Gin and G'Vine Floraison Gin (grape based) from France. I also discovered 1724 tonic which is probably the best tonic I've tasted (now Fever Tree is second best) and I have learned to be more careful over how much tonic I use and to think about an accompaniment (lemon, cucumber, crushed rosemary, olive etc) that would best suit the botanicals in the Gin. I also came away with two new Gins: Rock Rose from Scotland and No 209 from San Francisco.. We highly recommend stopping by here if you are...

Can't speak for the gin side of the business but we come here regularly for coffee and cake. The staff can't do enough for you, the food and drink are fantastic and the place, although small is really nicely decorated. The staff do their very best to be welcoming to babies even though there isn't really much room for buggies. The only thing that could improve this place for us is a more accessible toilet (it is downstairs, but this is unavoidable) and better baby change facilities. Love this...
