I would give it a no - star if I could. I’m deeply deeply disappointed by the experience I had with this supposed to be ‘wonderful’ accommodation Booked 2 rooms - 1 for my dogs to stay as they advertised ‘dog friendly’, tried to call so many times ahead but no one ever picked up the phone provided. Upon arrival, I was refused the stay as there wasn’t any ‘dog friendly’ rooms left, and Helen the manager blamed me for not reaching out before hand! Didn’t offer any sort of soliton and not willing to help, after some hard negotiations, she agreed to refund me the amount I booked minus third part admin fee if they sell the rooms, which later the more friendly and helpful front desk Tim confirmed that the room did sell to other guests. The next morning I went to double check, the waiting staff and another man in duty also promised me that I would receive the refund. What a complete lie! I’ve made numerous phone calls and left voicemails chasing the refund, I’ve heard nothing, nothing from Manager Helen!

How can a someone who manages and works in the hospitality industry shows such unprofessionalism! It is beyond my comprehension!

I’ve been still trying to call the property, yet no one answer...

The Ambleside Townhouse is a Beautiful Bed and breakfast... Situated just literally a few Minutes walk away from the Bustling Lakeland hub of Ambleside, and about 20 Minutes Walk away from Waterhead, where you can catch one of the Boats, for a Cruise around Lake Windermere...and Soak up the Idyllic Beauty of Lakeland.... The Rooms are Beautifully Appointed, Spacious...and relaxing... We where in Bluebird ( Room 14) Which is Accessible by a separate Entrance on the Side of the Building... There are many Good Places to Eat in Ambleside... Some Lovely Tea shops, just when you finish your Walk, and are looking to refresh your Energy... The Breakfast is Served between 8-9.30am and the Choice is Absolutely Delicious 😋... A Sumptuous range of Cereals, Fruit and Freshly made Granola & Fruit as well, then we come to the Cooked options, I opted for Scrambled Eggs 🥚 and Smoked salmon on Sourdough Toast... Freshly Brewed Coffee ☕ to finish... Polite and Friendly Service... All Makes for a Superb Time...Thank you...

Just had yet another great stay at this fabulous hotel with My Wife.|Having had a few stays here in the past, I thought I'd review this little gem again that will hopefully be of some help for those of you who need a place to stay and relax.|Continued attention to cleanliness and cosy rooms.|Staff on reception are welcoming and helpful.|It's very central to all that Ambleside has to offer.|Restaurant's, Pub's, tea and coffee bars, amazing ice-cream places, shops for all your outdoor requirements etc and a great starting place for those fantastic hills...!!!!! Great|connections to the boats that ferry you to Bowness and Lakeside too.|Frequency of buses are another great way to getting around.|Looking forwards to another return in the...

We had the superior room which was tidy and comfortable. Sufficient power points for those phone chargers although some were not easy to use! Wardrobe, dressing table with big mirror and additional seating. Clean hotel and nicely located in Ambleside. You are a short walking distance from the town centre and all the pubs and restaurants on offer. Breakfast was super and copious. If the weather is good there is an outdoor space to relax in. The coastal walk from the back of the hotel is a good one to do, but wear good sturdy footwear. And in my humble opinion the beech is a must. For you morning runners and swimmers get down to the beech you won't be disappointed.
