Wharfside Shopping Centre — Local services in Great Britain

Placed between the Harbour long stay car park and Penzance's main high street.

At the bottom is an Iceland store. There's a few steps up to the escalator to take you up to the middle level that leads to Market Jew Street. This area is open to the elements and has Argos, New Look, Carphone Warehouse and Warren's among others. The top floor is up two flights of steps. I've not been up, but it's signed to have a café or restaurant and offices there.

Compared to modern shopping centres it's a bit old school. More a shopping precinct as they used to be called.

Wharfside in Penzance? It's not your typical shiny, big-city mall, but that's actually its charm. Right by the harbour, you even get sea views while you're shopping, which is pretty cool. It's got some of the usual high-street names, but what makes it stand out are the local independent shops. You'll find a nice mix of unique little places that really give it a Penzance feel. 2025 update Having gone through a decline The Wharfside is definitely on the up. There last Saturday night, Fred’s Pizzeria(wonderful views) was buzzing, Cork and Fork seafood restaurant and the ever popular Thai Moon doing a good trade. They never disappoint. New shops that have opened up alongside the Card Factory and St Justin Cornish jewellers are bicycle repair and hire. Warrens the bakers, pasty and tea shop have improved their outdoor seating, too. Downstairs there’s Helly’s cafe/bar, fish’n’chips, ice cream...
