Was in the mood for fried chicken and this shop was just down from our hotel. We ordered chicken thighs (our favorite pieces) and a lamb doner, which they cut in half for us as we were going to eat at the waterfront. The chips were cooked to order, beautifully salty and steaming hot. A confession. I’m from the American South where fried chicken is a staple. I’ve never had a better piece of chicken in my life. Moist, crunchy, hot and generously seasoned huge pieces of chicken. I think there’s a hint of nutmeg in the coating. You can tell it’s been double dipped so really great mouth feel. The doner rivals those I’ve eaten in Turkey and it is enormous and flavorful. I’m fairly certain it isn’t made in house but the supplier is wonderful. To keep it moist they shave the doner and hold in stock, rather than charring on the grill. The doner salad is super fresh and I’m glad I chose the garlic sauce as it is exceptional. The staff I met are from Bulgaria and could not have been more pleasant. The owner happened to pop in while we waited and was friendly and helpful as well. One of the worst chicken shops I’ve been to in my life…

Horrendous customer service

not a single smile inside the premises, you’d think you arrived at a funeral, the disgusted look on the waitress’ face made me question why I ever stepped foot in that place

I asked the waitress for mayonnaise and she responded as if I asked her for directions to Spain, mayonnaise was eventually provided by the owner

I asked for a wet wipe, in a restaurant if I may add, and the waiter looked at me as if I asked him to tie my laces, I was shown the box of tissues, as I turned and walked off the waitress beside him rolled her eyes at me again questioning why I ever stepped foot in this establishment

the poor customer service stems down from the owner, although he was slightly more helpful than the rest of the so called team, it all trickles down from the top
