Kokoro Hastings — Restaurant in Hastings

I was really looking forward to this company coming to Hastings as I always grab some food when im in London Or Brighton from Kokoro, But I Kept having bad experiences at this place,

First time I went I asked for something specific and the owner was very talkative and reassuring, so I didnt double check my order but once I got home I realised he gave me the wrong thing as This was my dinner for the evening it was very disappointing as there wasnt anything else open to dine from, I took it back the next day and just got a refund.

I went there another time no quarms,

then last week I went there and ordered Noodles, With tempura prawns and curry sauce ontop, He gave me curry chicken ontop and Ive told him before I dont eat chicken..He even asked at the end ‘curry sauce on top’

i said yes,

I got home and was disappointed again but this time I just removed the chicken and carried on eating I brought it back to him the next day and instead of a refund He gave me another meal,

soo why is it when i’ve gone there today they owner is showing me cctv with sound of me telling him my order, basically reinforcing what I said because at NO point did I say to him chicken, But he was adamant in showing me this clip, I felt this was very pressuring and quite frankly didn’t understand that point in this I told him his customer service wasn't the best. he said that was my opinion and when I said the way he has treated me as a customer today Wouldnt encourage me to come back he also done nothing.

My go-to option for deliveries or just a quick fast meal. The portions are perfect for somebody like me who loves both quality and quantity. The best fast food in town in my opinion, but can see how other people potentially may feel otherwise.

Exquisite food, the sweet chilli chicken and chicken katsu curry is to die for - and in my opinion for foods that have sauces like the examples listed above, my top tip is to always choose rice over noodles (it carries the sauce better).

For this Kokoro branch in particular, it’s not really the sort of place I’d dine in or go for a date, reason being while it’s a very artistically designed building, the seating inside and outside is very little, due to the size of the building. I would recommend if eating food here to take it back home or pop off to the seaside (mind the seagulls though).

The menu is perfectly balanced with options that cater for anyone, even for people who aren’t the biggest fans of Korean/Japanese cuisine. The sides like sushi and gyozas are delicious. My only issue is the price of the drinks for what they are but this is the same with all fast food places, it’s just how they make profit when somebody just wants a drink to go with their food. I often eat here before work, and walk away with a smile before my shift. The only rival for this place for me would be Thai in Town, in my humble opinion. Before you decide to go to the usual McDonalds or KFC trip, why not poke a nose in here? The food...

Well thank you. There was a niche in hastings for Japanese food and now we have 3 restaurants of Japanese food. Kokoro, Heist Street Food place and Edamame. I enjoyed the sushi, and hot food however i love miso soup so much asked for Miso to be filled to the top. And it wasn't. That was the only downside. For the price i pay it should be to the top. Comparing to Wasabi or itsu restaurants in London, Kokoro is definetelly one of best ones. 5 stars for food. 4 stars for service. 5 stars for environment. Total 4,75 rating from me. Prices could be a little bit lower. Large sushi is 9,95. Comparing to itsu you can grab for 7,95. Room for improvement.

2023/01/28 Second review. 1/5 Because of Verry terrible experience. Never coming backed again. 100% The Korean guy Paul, was serving me in kokoro hastings. I greeted them Konnichiwa as it's Japanese food. And the guy was very cocky. He said he was Korean. I asked him if he was north Korean or south . And he started moralizing me that i was rude to him. First he charged me 9,25 instead of 7,20 for no reason. Then he forgot the spoon i asked. And then he forgot my chopsticks. The said its THERE!!! I haven't 8 years of customer service experience and this is unacceptable. I have a receipt for owners. As i day ruined my day. And i am paying customer. Never...
