Khaja Indian takeaway woolton village — Local services in Liverpool

have been looking for a good indian takeaway around liverpool for a while now and have always been left feeling let down by poor tastless food.

Tonight I found Khaja and with it being my birthday i decided that i would treat me and the family. The food is excellent from the popperdoms to the mains. Even the chutneys for the popperdoms were excellent. The garlic nan was soft and the Bombay potato was lightly spiced and the potatoes were buttery soft.

Next was the chicken chat. Again having being so disapointed in the past from other takaways this time I was treated to a gloriously spiced chicken whist being wrapped in a light and non greasy pancake.

My wife went for the Chicken Tikka Masala the pieces of chicken were large and very generous. Perfectly spiced and she has now found her favorite place to go to find a good curry.

I opted for the Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi. I like hot spicy food but i find that a lot of resturants either hit you will a full on volcano experience with little flavor or vice versa. Here the balance of heat vrs flavor was spot on. Fresh vegeatables really gave this dish a great boost and you really could taste the freshness and the fresh aroma made me want more.

As for value for money it was worth every penny and cant wait to go back...

I ordered to collect from here this evening by calling up and making an order. The food was ready within 20 minutes - that being said we arrived 5 minutes early and there was a small seating area to wait while things were packaged up.

We had the garlic chilli chicken - very hot but what we expected - it was a very nice curry.

We also had lamb chops, onion baji and poppadoms. They come with the regular onion / yoghurt / chutney / salad. The chops were tandoori flavored, we prefer the standard ones but they were still very nice. The popadoms were fresh and warm, and the yoghurt sauce is one of the best I’ve tried in Liverpool so far.

The garlic naan was made fresh to order and was lovely - not too doughy or thin - just right.
