Wonderful hidden gem.
I came in here after reading about it as I wanted a nice quiet place to work away from work. I found myself a sofa at one end next to power sockets and made myself at home. I had a coffee to get me going and before I knew it I'd been there for nearly three hours, ploughed through my work and feeling a little hungry. So I got soup of the day, a wonderful tomato and ginger soup of the day and a delicious falafel wrap. I could have done with a bit more soup but that's just me. The soup was just right, not too salty and not a runny, watery soup but a thicker than usual (for tomato) soup.
Anyone wanting to get away from the busy city, this place is smack in the middle of things a few minutes walk from both Barbican and Moorgate stations. Read moreI had a great afternoon watching a film at the Barbican Cinema. For me it was a great nostalgic experience and I truly enjoyed the coziness and layout of the cinema room. I like the fact that the chairs were very comfortable and the screen was easily and clearly visible. The surroundings are just as fascinating as the cinema room itself. It is such a contrast from the rest of the local architecture that the journey there is already a joyful experience. So every thing else needed to complement a trip to the cinema becomes another interesting outing experience simply because of...

This was possibly the best piano performance I ever saw in my life, the interpretation and the precision the 2 sisters played was nothing short of magnificent, each pause, each note was carefully played and elevated what could have been a piano concert to a transcendent experience. I was mesmerised, and so was everybody else . After a few standing ovations, the sisters performed the False Movement by Philip Glass ( this was not on the programme ) and, when they finished playing this last treat, we all left feeling elated, knowing that it was a privilege to have seen such a...
