We sat close by and were constantly looking over to the pizza section every 30 seconds for 25 minutes. Finally I went to check on things, only to see them handing out multiple pizzas that we had ordered to other customers. I told this man I’d been waiting for 20 minutes and he immediately, aggressively insisted that we weren’t there when our number was called. He kept saying it again and again and again. “We don’t do service!”. “You weren’t here”. “We called you and you weren’t here so we gave your pizzas to others”. He. Just. Wouldn’t. Stop. Like he was so desperate to make his point when I wasn’t even challenging him.
It was so obvious they forgot about us. These things happen, and I was very polite and didn’t even challenge him when he said the first time - frankly I was shocked by his tone. But the way he kept coming at me over and over and over while still handing pizzas to other people before finally serving ours, and he very aggressively was slamming the pizza cutter into my pizza while cutting it and still talking about how we weren’t there… just disgusting.
I’ve told so many people about the Barbican cafe, even though several of them weren’t originally going to try it due to the bad reviews.
Well, I’ll have a very different thing to say going forward, and I certainly won’t be...
