Рart of the Barbican Estate in London, known for its modern Brutalist architecture combined with landscaped water features, fountains, and greenery. The gardens are private, accessible only to residents and their guests. Strict rules apply – no dogs, barbecues, noisy lawn games, or bird feeding; residents are expected to keep noise low and respect each other. The space is well maintained and regularly cared for, offering a peaceful oasis in the heart of London. It is a place for relaxation, connecting with nature, and fostering a sense of community among residents.

This is in my opinion the most mind blowing part of the barbican centre. The amazing way water is played with and included within the residential buildings is amazing! I love as well the contrast with the buildings and how the main theme around the complex is sustainability.. surely worth a visit

Stunning and impressive water feature in the middle of one of the Brutalist developments more popular in London (The Barbican Centre). It is unbelievable how the water gardens completely transform the impression of the otherwise harsh architecture.

There is an unusual harmony in the water garden, where nature and creativity come together in a single flow. The water surface reflects majestic trees and bright flowers, creating a mesmerizing symphony of colors. Every morning is filled with freshness, and a light breeze gently ruffles the leaves and flowers, inviting visitors to enjoy the beauty and peace. Positive emotions fill your soul as you stroll along the quiet paths surrounded by fragrant plants. Children's laughter coming from the corners of the garden adds joy and coziness to the environment. Here you can find real masterpieces of landscape design, where every detail is thought out with love and care. The water garden is not just a place for rest, it is an oasis where you can regain your strength and be inspired by nature. Every corner is pleasing to the eye, and the soothing sounds of waterfalls and birds create the perfect space for reflection and creation. In this idyllic setting, time flies by, leaving only...

Amazing space in the middle of the city. I am amazed but the stark contrast between the concrete buildings surrounding it. The Brutalist architecture is something that you either love or hate but the gardens and water in the middle of the estate really feel like a diamond in a rough and creates a stark contrast which is impressive. Great place to walk around or sit to clear your mind and reflect, away from the busy life of London. Come and have a look...
