CURLY HAIR: DO NOT GO! They do not know how to deal with curls at this salon, and will not admit it-- I have curly hair and have had fringe many times before. When I told my stylist I wanted fringe, he said it wouldn't work because I have curls (my curls are not even tight curls), and once I told him it's worked before, he begrudgingly cut it (not well). He first cut a "fringe" that was just long curtain bangs (not what I asked for), then on the second visit, he cut fringe (again, not well, especially for the price), and proceeded to blow my hair out stick straight (he seems to not be familiar with a bouncy blowout), despite my specifically asking him to leave some wave and movement in my hair, ESPECIALLY with shorter fringe. The worst part was when he got to the fringe-- He had NO IDEA how to style any sort of textured fringe and wouldn't be honest. I kept trying to communicate with him, and it took so much time, and he got so frustrated that I ENDED UP APOLOGIZING TO HIM, and another stylist had to take over. This stylist also did not do well, but at least kept his cool. I'd stupidly decided to commit to this salon because of familiarity and proximity, and every single time I left, my hair looked weird, was way too straight, they neglected my fringe & still-curly baby hairs when blowing out... ridiculous, as they market themselves as upscale. I got fed up with the straight blowouts no matter what I asked, so the very last time I came in, I just had them leave my hair curly, which for them meant diffusing it and scrunching random products in it with no purpose or order-- A "routine" I did when I had no idea what to do with my curls when I was twelve. I left with a frizzy head of hair and never returned. If that wasn't enough, my friend who also has curly hair, also went to the salon, saw a different stylist, got the same reaction when asking for fringe, left with no fringe and a super weird-length haircut with no shape, that did not suit her and was not what she'd asked for. She'd tried to communicate with the stylist, who was dismissive, and she also ended up in tears after leaving Bei. Bei has no sense for cutting/styling according to the person/hair texture. Do better, or at least admit that you don't know how to properly cut and style curly hair.

Read moreI recently had a balayage at my usual hairdressing salon, which left my hair with random orange-ish patches. I looked awful and felt rather uncomfortable going out. This was made worse by the fact that I already had an horrendous haircut. One of my friends advised me to visit Bei for a consultation, (stating that Fabio does what you ask!), so I did. Fabio listened extremely attentive, I felt he understood what I wanted. I booked the first appointment to 1) fix my haircut 2)bring my hair back to my natural colour 3) a balayage. Well, needless to say, my hair looks amazing. Not only he fixed my awful haircut, but he cut it exactly as I wanted. He coloured my hair back to it's natural colour (which looked amazing). What really struck me was that he suggested not to do the balayage, as he thought I looked nice in my natural colour (meaning he would have cut himself short of a few bobs). I consider this very honest of him, indicating that he cares about what he does; however, I was set on a balayage and booked a 2nd appointment for a wk later. Gosh, I haven't felt so good in a long time. My hair looks amazing with a caramel balayage. I received lots of complement; I notice people looking at me on the street. My confidence came back, and I'm truly grateful to Fabio and to the rest of the team, who contributed to the final look and made me feel relaxed and welcome. I've booked another appointment for a Brazilian Blowout. I'm looking forward to my next visit at Bei. Everyone there is lovely. I live in SE1, so it's quite a distance for me; but it's worth the commute. I highly...
Read moreJust had another great haircut from Fabio! I've been going to Bei for the past two years, but before then I've been struggling with my long unruly hair and found that most hairdressers were not able to be consistent with my haircut, it was a hit and miss situation which resulted in me keeping my hair up on a ponytail most of the time. So happy when I came across Bei, and after reading the hairdressers background ( yep that's very important!!) I have finally found someone that is consistant and I always end up with the perfect cut ! I have now a layered haircut that works well with my natural weavy hair and I am so happy about it!! I can finally keep them down. The cut lasts me a long time too!!...
