Cass Art — Local services in London

I am absolutely amazed at how friendly and helpful those working at this Cass Art are. I was assisted almost immediately upon my entry and appreciate it immensely! Although I typically know what I want when it comes to supplies, I am unfamiliar with this store (I am a foreigner) as well as trying a new medium. Their selection is good and varied. The mediums are grouped in a way that makes it easy to find what you are looking for. The help I received was excellent and most kind. The brief conversation I had with the employee that assisted me (I failed to get her name) was enjoyable and again so friendly; it made my day. I appreciate the artwork hanging in the store upon entering. It is good to know those selling you your supplies also make art. I cannot thank enough those working at Cass Art for all their help and kindness. I will of course highly recommend as much as I can and will be returning for all my future supply needs...

Too expensive, even on the apparent sale. The items I saw (not on sale) where about one third more expensive than on Amazon.

Bought a box of calligraphy nibs. I tried some of them and discovered one of them was scratchy. I tried to sand it down and it broke. I was refused a refund because they weren't in a resalable condition and the broke one I'd thrown away. But this product wasn't fit for purpose when I had bought it to begin with. When you buy something, especially at their price, you expect it to work. Staff, although acting friendly, showed a lack of understanding and didn't listen to me. When I got back home I discovered that a few other nibs were out of shape and unusable. I threw them in the bin as it wasn't worth the hassle and the sight of them was...

Cass Art has always been a lovely place, it has that kind of beauty of genuine artistic love and care.

I haven't been to an art store for about 10 years and last time that was their Kensington High Street store.

I was expecting it to be a cold, calculated and rationalised place that many places have become. I was so happy to see that this hasn't, it is retained its beauty, wonder, love and care.

Marta and her colleague were really nice, helpful caring.

They didn't make me feel silly about the fact that I am not a massive artist and don't really know what I'm doing. She was encouraging and fantastic.

I love this place, its definitely my number one choice and I hope they stay...
