I was recommended Harper Fine Dining after initially contacting Bart van der Lee who was fully booked but had done some work for Dean Harper and had previously recommended HFD to others. I contacted Dean and Michelle about the 60th birthday dinner I wanted to organise and went from there. We decided on a five course tasting menu for 8 and pre-dinner canapés and cocktails made by Cip our bartender for the evening. Michelle also organised a fantastic birthday cake made by one of this years bake off professionals. Our team of David, Sonia and Cip were very friendly and professional and gave us a night to remember. Michelle and Dean were very responsive and sorted everything out for us.

Feedback from the birthday girl was “I was the lucky recipient of a delightful evening organised for my birthday celebration. Having a fine dining experience at my own home was the perfect solution to enable us to invite friends and family of all ages - the youngest being just 3 months old and the oldest being 89! The team were fantastic and despite having had a very long drive to get to us they looked after us extremely well and every element of the evening was executed to a very high standard and with great warmth and enthusiasm. From the canapés and cocktails, through all 5 delicious courses and right to the surprise birthday cake, it was all fabulous and a lovely and memorable experience. The cake obviously had to wait till the following day to be savoured but it was truly delicious. I think it’s safe to say that we are just waiting for the next suitable occasion to do it all over again and I just hope that David, Sonia and Cip will be willing to make the trek back north because we would love to see...

We booked Dean Harper Fine Dining for a private dinner party for 12 to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday. We opted for a 6 course plus paired wines.

When you are spending such a large amount of money, it is a little worrying about what to expect, however, we had no reason to worry! The team arrived promptly and the entire evening ran like clockwork. Nothing was too much trouble for Ian and Verity who unexpectedly served G&T’s and beers to our guests on arrival and left the entire kitchen looking like it hadn’t even been used!

The team made it a fun evening not taking themselves too seriously but remaining professional. And the Sommerliers delivery of the wine along with his humour went down a storm! Of course the wine was exceptional and matched to the food perfectly!

The food was absolutely amazing!! I had asked Dean if they could incorporate some Lancashire elements into the menu which they tailored beautifully- from the local egg for the Scotch egg starter to the Lancashire hotpot in the lamb dish! Ian explained all the Lancashire elements for each dish which was a lovely surprise for my Lancashire born and bred husband!

In short, if you are thinking about booking Dean Harper Fine Dining, do it! You will not be disappointed!

I Hired Harpers Fine Dining (HFD) to cater for my 40 something Studio 54 themed birthday party in my home. Michelle and Dean are a talented team of organisers, who initially met in my home to discuss how to utilise the space and finalise the menu. HFD provided a good variety of dishes to choose from. And are very patient with sudden changes during the decision process. Their clarity in guest numbers vs cost per person was accurate and enabled the evenings food sensations to flow with ease and enjoyment. HFD are very competent, professional but at the same time always stuck to my brief and enabled me to host a unique experience. My party had 70+ people attend across the generations from teens to grandparents, all had a great time. All host’s secretly want to hear they hosted a fantastic party. I can genuinely say HFD helped me host one of the best birthday parties in NW London 2021! I also had a lot of comments on the staff being very friendly, attentive, and approachable.
