Holly&Lil — Local services in London

I want to give a five star review for this shop, as it usually is very welcoming and they have very nice treats and doggy items. I had my puppy groomed here and it was done very well, I give props to the groomers. Usually the staff is very friendly and I enjoy coming there.

But I have to admit that I could not give them 5 stars. I had a really stressing experience when I took my dog in for a groom the second time and was given a price I didn't understand. The situation turned very bitter over something that just needed a little explanation. I think I was partly to blame for the mistake but it was also the shops fault for not being clear about the pricing and allowing time for an explanation, especially as I am recent costumer and not very familiar with their cost scheme. I went back to try and apologize, but it didn't work. I was told how poor and disrespectful I am as a customer. And just so you know, they filled the appointment very quickly. I really felt bad how I was treated. In the end my son and I were treated with anger (I even got a text message full of insult). Make sure you know the pricing and pay in advance for grooming, to avoid the sad situation like mine.

I have taken my two pugs to Holly and Lil for a groom that includes hair wash and nail clipping but not clipping. It costs £110 for both - not cheap. I have decided to go elsewhere largely because I have concerns over the safety of the site. The door is not locked, there is gate that can be opened while the door to the main road is still open and staff are not always visible when dogs are picked up and dropped off. It would be a matter of seconds for one to run out onto Tower Bridge Road or for someone to open the gate and grab a dog. I did also once arrive to collect my dogs and they had no idea where the older one was. We found her after ten minutes asleep in a box. If she had been taken it would not have been noticed until I picked her up. A number of friends recommended a different groomer with much more stringent health and safety and site safety procedures. After being spoken to very rudely on the phone by a member of staff at Holly and Lil's I am going to the different groomer and am delighted to say I've received better service and saved money in doing so. H&L have not responded to my concerns and I'd recommend until they review their safety procedures it's best not to leave your...

I've been to London again in 2023 and went off the boat at Tower Bridge to visit the store with my 2 dogs a Chihuahua named Holly-Hope & and a Jack-Russell-Terrier called Ayla. We live in the North of Germany and we had already a few collar's at home. They are so unique and special, so the highlight of our trip to UK last year was to visit this store in person! Not only they create so precious collars, they are always friendly and try to help if you have questions or need a size between 2 of what's in the shop. They make collar's for you also when they are out of stock. They always give their best to make your and your dogs dreams come true.
