Dont be stupid by pictures in the AD it is not real. Low apartment services quality . no left no paper toilet too much drunk people outside reception far away from flat
My story is I booked this apartment, which looked lovely, clean and spacious from the pictures on the website away at 'lovely' apartment. HOWEVER, it was the complete opposite. I will start by saying the only 2 good things about it is the location; being a 2 min walk from waterbays was ideal for us. Also the check in was fast and easy with no faffing about. There are a number of things I am not happy about with this apartment:
I don't recommend any body there are many flat better more value of money and...
Read moreWe had a superior room but could not work out what was supposed to be superior about it. We have stayed here before and stayed this time because of its proximity to the tube stations but there was nothing you would class as superior in this room to the last room that we stayed in. There looks to be a leaking shower in the room above as there was aged staining on the ceiling and on our last night we saw definite signs of water leaking down the wall - not a lot but does need sorting. I did hear some dripping and there were visible drip trails on the cupboard door above the cooker hot plates. From the age of the strain on the ceiling I would guess that this issue will have been reported before but hasn't been sorted yet. The extractor fan above the cooker hot plates is too low and dangerous - I'm 5' 7" and had a couple of near misses, my 5' 10" husband managed to bang his head twice. It is two years since our last stay at this location but we noticed the carpet on the stair tread was still loose near one of the top steps up to the second floor, the rails on the stairs were loose in places, fire extinguishers still hold doors open, the windows and net curtains still need a wash. On the plus, the water in the shower stayed at a constant temperature throughout the shower whereas before it went from hot to cold to hot to cold - perhaps that is the superior element of the room? When we checked out this morning the reception clerk never asked if we had enjoyed our stay - was he too worried about the answer? Basically, it is what it is - economy - but a couple of basic improvements (some from a health and safety perspective)...
Read morePros: paid only £40 for the night which was good for the location of the hotel, great location - plenty of restaurants, shops and things to do, facilities were okay for the price. Kitchen was fully functional and had plates, cups, pots and pans and cutlery which were useful. Apartment although being outdated was relatively clean and did the job. ||||Cons: apartment didn’t match the images supplied online, was very outdated in comparison to the images, was on the 4th floor with no lift so going up and down the stairs was a bit of a nuisance, toilet lid/seat was broken in our apartment and was just left on the side of the toilet so had to attempt a DIY fix, the apartments don’t have a reception so had to visit another hotel to check in and out (in fairness it was only a 5 minute walk away on the same road but still), the window only opened slightly and kept falling down when attempting to keep it open fully, some plugs didn’t work, bed was advertised as a large double but was actually just 2 singles pushed together. They were comfortable in fairness but was annoying as you could feel the divide. Also found a hair in the bed. Shower ceiling was mouldy. ||||The number of cons outweighs the positives but in all honesty it was functional for our stay, however I’m not sure I could have stayed for more than 1 night and I felt I couldn’t really complain as it was so cheap and great value for money. It wasn’t the best, but the location and kitchen in the apartment made up for its...
