£240 for a horrible experience.

Many issues came about on the day:

1. Stylist 1- inexperienced to do a balayage
2. Stylist 2- Only spoke Mandarin
3. Receptionist- incompetent in taking down info
4. Stylist 3- gave me what I didn’t ask for, but what she thought would be ideal.
5. Majority of salon staff chatting about my hair appointment in Cantonese/Mandarin but not to me. I understood Mandarin and speak Cantonese fluent. But no one cared to ask and they only spoke to me in English. So I returned the favour.

Booked the appointment two weeks in advance, had arrived unfortunately late and was told by receptionist that I was a “walk in”. Now in Chinese salon terms, that means pass me onto the inexperienced stylist. That really peeved me off as I had booked in advance for a reason as I had seen the stylists were young, trendy and had really good hair cutting and styling techniques. I honestly thought I would get one of them. But I didn’t.

Moving on, before stylist 3 was plonked onto me. I had been going up and down the stairs like a yo-yo due to stylist 1 & 2. Stylist 3 was a mature lady and she said that I should get just one colour over my balayage hair. I wasn’t happy with that. I stated that I wanted the blonde parts to be dark, chocolate brown. She said that okay.

Move forward 30 minutes of having colour sit in my hair, stylist 3 told me to get a treatment for my hair. I asked “how much?” She said that it’s normally £80 and she could charge me £50 with discount. I went through as I hardly get my hair done. Anyway, fast forward blow dry and then to payment. Was told it was £237. Stated I would pay with card, stylist 3 told me that they would have to charge me an extra £15 to pay by card!!!! Unless I took out cash. Ended up giving the cash and left. Not worth having a chat with anyone as I was just fed up of being there any longer.

Moving forward, I think I will stick to the Korean salon that I usually go to and pay the extra £100 to get what I want for my hair and probably get some decent customer...

Used to come here before covid and see Max. My wife was cutting her hair as her usual so i thought id go and cut my hair. They were very quiet and didnt need to wait. I told the guy who cut my hair to cut it shorter keeping the same style, he started off ok, but didnt take much care pinning my hair out the way, then he cut the sides. Being chinese with thick hair theres 2 nonos. 1. Cutting it too short so it sticks out no matter what you do & 2. Cutting it triangular so it sticks out near the top of your hair and it puffs out. I thought ok hes going to sisissors cut it but NOPE! Then he barely trimmed the top, didnt cut it to shape it, hair is not level (see pic) and just looks like it was lifted and cut wonky. I pointed out the sides were sticking out a lot on the sides but told me to wash my hair again. I washed my hair then he just said you want anything in my hair. At this point i looked like a chinese guy with a bowl style haircut but with a triangular top thats sticking out, i pointed this out again and he just proceeded to ignore me and ask if i want gel or wax, i said wax, he barely put it on my hair, i made a point to showing i didnt like it but he didnt care! At this point i was sooo angry and obviously he was finished so i just got up and paid £25 for a shitty hair cut. What was worse was I SPENT MORE TIME HAVING MY HAIR WASHED THEN GETTING MY HAIR CUT.

No wonder why this place wasnt busy. BTW my wifes salon was packed when i went to see her. Unless Max is there i would never step foot in this...

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I asked for a wash and style. I left in the middle of my service. The guy washing my hair had blonde tips. He didn’t even wash it properly. My head was scratched and the top of my head was still DRY. I wanted to leave right after that but decided I would stay. WORST DECISION. The person styling my hair said himself “very dry” talking about my hair thinking it was my hair care but in reality it was because it was washed properly. Then he began to blow dry. The blow dryer was hitting my head constantly. He was rushing the service and did a terrible job. I asked for a 90’s blowout vibe. He used zero product on my hair before blow drying. I left after he was done blow drying it straight (it wasn’t very straight) I couldn’t take any more of the service.

I asked the lady at the front with platnium-ish hair if there was anyway I didn’t have to pay for the full service since it was terrible. This girl was very sassy with me and said that the top of head was dry because of my own scalp problems. (i have no scalp problems) She said she couldn’t discount me at all since I was the first complaint.

Overall, I felt very rushed, not taken care of, wasted my money, and terrible customer service.

DO NOT GO HERE.

So disappointed. I left crying. But i found another hair salon just 10 minutes away called RUSH and now I have the hair I asked for but 95 $$...
