Really happy with the store, as I found what I was looking for when I visited yesterday (4th March 2025) - Young Coconut (the one I bought is from Longman) for £3.20. So if you are after a young coconut that you can drink - SeeWoo is the place to go for you! I also bought a few other items that I saw and thought looked interesting and would taste nice - Hi-Chew Soft Candy (peach, grapefruit and apple flavor at £1.65 each), Chi Forest Sparkling Water (Lycée Flavor) for £1.63 and a Red Honey Pomelo for £2.84. As you can see from the photos I took and have attached SeeWoo has plenty of stock and what to choose from. The only downside I would say I found with this store is that it has a step-up to enter and also it is not wide enough between the isles for a stroller or a wheelchair. Furthermore, there is a section inside the shop - to get to the fresh meat and fish part - with stairs going down that you cannot access if you've got a stroller or a wheelchair (or maybe they have a ramp, but I didnt see one and I didnt ask for one either). Other than that, I am happy to recommend SeeWoo to everyone looking for their Asian...

Seewoo now does delivery across London of essential Asian groceries! The full product list is on their website. Be careful, there are two Seewoo websites, so make sure you're on the right one.

I've now ordered twice, and while I'm grateful to be able to get delivery, they are not a fully slick service so there might be the following issues:

  1. When you email the order, you have to wait for them to call back to give you a delivery date. This could be days/up to a week later. And it has to be delivered the next day after they call you to take payment
  2. I had an order come a day later than was given
  3. I've had items missing from my order, some charged and some not
  4. I've had an item expiring 4 days before my delivery date, and another expiring the same day.
  5. They cannot process refunds at this point, the only thing they can do is after COVID lockdown is over, you have to visit the shop in Chinatown with your invoices and complaint, and they will sort it out there.

So if you're willing to accept the above, then this is a great way to get some Asian groceries delivered directly...

I am unable to comprehend how they have all these positive reviews I’m afraid…. Used to be my family’s favourite oriental supermarket in west end a long time ago. Following a visit a few days ago, my daughter and I witnessed a elderly woman that was being treated like a second class citizen, it was such a violation that I had no choice but to intervene. She only asked for the prices of selected products and was greeted with angry and hot headed staff… being agitated by her questions, he then proceeded to swear and give abuse in his home language ( not Chinese) and that’s when I pointed out that this paying customer deserves better service. He snapped back at me, claiming I don’t know him and that I don’t know the customer. Made a complaint to the other staff and asked to speak to the manager as I was appalled with his attitude. To my surprise they know this employee’s attitude and yet they don’t do anything about it and apparently there was no managers around to help. That sums it all, USE TO BE A GOOD Supermarket… but that will be the last visit from me and...

See Woo is a large and well-stocked Asian supermarket located in the heart of London's Chinatown. It has a wide selection of fresh produce, groceries, and household items from all over Asia, including China, Japan, Korea, and Thailand. I regularly shop at See Woo, and always impressed with the selection of products available. The fresh produce section is particularly good, with a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, and herbs that are difficult to find in other supermarkets. I was also impressed with the selection of frozen and packaged goods, which included everything from dumplings and noodles to sauces and spices. See Woo also has a good selection of household items, such as chopsticks, rice cookers, and woks. I was particularly impressed with the selection of Japanese kitchen knives. Overall, I would recommend See Woo to anyone looking for a wide selection of Asian groceries and household items at reasonable prices. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the store is conveniently located in the heart of London's Chinatown.

The shop is actually quite nice, with decent pricing, and they seem to cater to different categories of customers, selling a variety of products. Unfortunately they not only sell items out of date (at regular price), but when faced with it - bluntly lying to the customers that the manufacturer expert date "is not a date", and having relabelled with a different expiry date. The worst part is that even after faced with multiple staff members, that's the best answer we've got. If the product has a translated label, the expiry date should not differ from the manufacturer printed one.
