Salon64 — Local services in London

I've been meaning to write this for a long time now (note, I never write public reviews under my real name so you won't find me in your system!)

This salon is the best I have ever been to, in any major city, ever. As a 36 year old who travels a lot, lived all over the world, has been dying my hair since I was 13, and is extra particular about what I like, that's saying a lot.

I first went to Leanne for colouring, and had the best highlights I have ever had! Unfortunately, I couldn't get an appointment with her again and was given to another stylist. I didn't like what he did, and wrote in to let them know. Fairly immediately I received an email directly from the owner requesting that they schedule me back in free of charge to fix it.

Had the same stylist I hadn't liked do my hair again. This made me very hesitant.... but my god - THAT now was the best colouring I've ever had! I realised the first visit was just a miscommunication because he was extremely skilled and I could not have loved what he did with my hair more.

Following that, I've been seeing Gareth now for my last 3 or 4 colourings. His work is insane!!!! Not only does he get it right every time, I only visit every 6 months or so and yet he remembers all of my weird requests about how I like it done. Have never had to repeat myself - he just knows.

And finally, I've made last-minute appointments before due to an event or occasion, and entering the salon, nobody is there but Gareth. This makes me realise that to fit me in they moved their schedules around, opened up earlier than normal for me, and perhaps even brought him in on a day off... They didn't even mention that they were bending things for me, they just did it.

I've now realised that it doesn't matter who you go see at Salon64. You will always get the best. I'm sticking with Gareth but should they ever need to switch me for some reason I know that it's not going to be a disappointment. That level of trust is hard to find in the beauty industry.

I've now moved countries again, but am going to book a flight back just to get my hair done. I don't want anyone else touching my hair but someone from Salon64.

Thank you guys for working so hard at what you do, and really excelling for your clients in every single way. I am usually the pickiest customer, and yet you wow me every time.

I had my hair coloured by April 2 weeks before my wedding. She used a colour she had never tried and made my hair red- I wanted my blonde ends to match my natural brown and I came out with RED hair. I was so shocked, instead of fixing my hair she went onto her next client. I had traveled 5 hours to get my hair sorted for my wedding.

At this point I waited 2 hours for her to be free so she could 'sort out' my hair. She proceeded by making all my hair DARK BLUE/BLACK. I was so upset after spending 5 hours in the salon I left with my hair worse and my time wasted. They offered to rinse out the blue the following day.

I then had to pay for a hotel to stay in London, only for the next day for my hair to be left black after the hair was stripped of the blue.

It has taken me a long time to write this review as I was so upset that I had such damaged hair for my wedding, I tried to forget about it but now I must warn all other girls DO NOT I repeat DO NOT go to this salon. Especially for your hair before an event.

I had visited April once before and she took care of my hair and made me feel welcome. the second time around she couldn't even take the time to fix my hair let alone use a completely new product she hadn't used before before such a monumental day.

Safe to say I got my money back, but that didn't include the night at the hotel and HOURS it took to damage my hair, and the money it then took to fix my BLACK hair; which then had to be BLEACHED to lighten and my hair for my wedding was DAMAGED!

Money back but ruined hair. Hair only just starting to recover...

I've had the same hair stylist for YEARS however due to a change in circumstances I am no longer able to go there. Normally I am very afraid of a new hair stylist let alone colourist but Stevie and Vicky transformed me back to ME, a ME that I forgot existed. I wanted a certain colour, at least that's what I thought I wanted until Vicki showed me and explained to me properly what colours and what type of colour application would work for me and 4 weeks in I am SO grateful for her expertise because I've not gone ONE day without someone complimenting my colour. Stevie cut my hair and did exactly what I wanted with a little stevie pazzazz. I've chosen to write my review 4 weeks on because whilst I looked fabulous leaving the salon that day, I wanted to see how I looked after the cut and I can safely say, I've never had a cut and colour like this. Stevie cut my hair so well that when I wash and blow dry my hair it looks like I've just left the salon. My colour is rich and glossy and just so stunning. I would recommend Salon64 all day long. Full transparency, I paid a little more that my budget allowed (only because I thought a tint was right for me but actually it totally wasn't given my lifestyle etc) but my god...it was bloody worth it. Ricky himself is a great stylist and has a reputation to uphold therefore he has to have a great team behind him. I can safely say that the team at Salon64 are incredible. I've had the best hair day everyday for 4 weeks and I know it'll continue. Go get your patch test, go have a consultation, you'll...
