The food is good but the waiting time is awful. We came while the restaurant is half empty. We waited 20 minutes to get 2 ice drink and 2 cookies. That is beyond disappointing ! UPDATE: don't worry I will not come back to your restaurant ! Whatever you cook in your restaurant I can do myself at home as good or better than what you are serving and for cheaper. It was always for the "Kef" to seat down. I can see that other people complain about the waiting time and you refuse to hear the feedback so don't tell me - as you did face to face that you are open to feedback. You always have something to reproach to your customer who make the same complain. As you mention I am a regular customer. One of your waiter did say to my husband seat where you would like and I will come to take your order. We did wait for about 20minutes : we sat down wait for about 8 minutes for the order and then someone took our order and we wait for another 15 minutes. To get the complete order. There was no four table to serve but 1 big table and one takeaway. And 2 people came after us and where served before. Instead of blaming your clients that a two star review may harm your business, I suggest that you take responsibility on how you run it. If you decide to be the baker, manager and waiter this should not be at the expense of regular client who come to spend their money in your café. Especially that it's not the first time that this is happening. Face to face your try to get empathy of me that I should understand the waiting time (so there is waiting time ?) because everything is fresh and homemade and now you speak about my "behaviour" (an emotional blackmail because I am also Jewish ?) ... You reproach me I wrote the review while in the café ? Yes, because your waiter was busy, and you saw us from behind your counter while you were baking and you just continue to bake, to finally be served by you 10 to 15 minutes later. Because you think it's acceptable for us to wait as everything is homemade and fresh. I don't find this ...
Read moreI would love this place if not for those hanging fake plants that get stuck in your hair and keep too much dust that moves all around the room. Overall the place was very clean compared to other restaurants in Golders Green. This place would be more alive with real plants! Get some, please! I must say a very special thank you to the staff ( I wish I asked for the name of the lady who served us ) who were exceptionally friendly and kind to us. The food was good. Very interesting menu, especially the dessert menu that had a variety of homemade, delicious cakes. It's a must! What made this place special was the white picture frame of a young man in it, by the till. Don't forget to ask about this. Very touching story. Also, I love the variety of the seating area and the little library in the corner of the cafe which makes this place very cosy. The dishes, glasses etc....are very pretty which gives " more taste " to your food. Love it! Btw, our food arrived very quickly. Nicely served. Salads come with a few slices of your choice of bread- toasted bread. We had a birthday cake with a candle in it. They even played a "Happy Birthday song" which was quite fun. Easy access for disabling. Straight from the street. No stars to ender the restaurant. Overall I would recommend this place for any type of...
