The WORST flower shop I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. The first time I came I picked out flowers for a small to medium sized bouquet the price of which turned out to be £120. I’ve lived in London for a long time, and knowing that flowers here are expensive is no surprise, but this is extreme. I’m never one to be stingy with my money either, but for your utterly average looking weekly bouquet I know what I’m picking. My jaw actually dropped (never happens). Apparently Veronica Spicata/Royal candles flowers in this store is like lab diamonds (I had 8 stems). I asked for the store assistant to remove half of them after which she obliged with a look of great dissatisfaction on her grumpy looking face while I was trying to remain pleasant. Me being the customer. Just by removing half of them the bouquet’s price dropped by half, it still being overpriced. For a comparison I now get a stunning bouquet at a stand on King’s road for £30.
The second time around I came in the middle of opening hours. A man in the store was on the phone, my husband walked in and went unnoticed. At this point I went in myself asking if they were open, and was literally waved away like a fly. I asked again thinking this is quite unclear. Hand waving me away, Again. The man didn’t even bother moving the phone away from his ear lol.
I refuse supporting a business in which a customer is literally treated as a nuisance and flowers are ridiculously overpriced. I advise you to do the same. This is the first time I’m leaving a negative review in my life, I’m typically not bothered, but this is just crazy to me. Flowers in M&S down the road look 100 times better, this place is a joke. I recommend going literally to any other flower stand, there’re so many close by that deserve your attention and money with actually...
Read moreThe flowers arrived a day late after stating they were waiting for replenishment and would add extra flowers for the delay. Deliveratelu ordered a bouquet worth £58 plus 6.95 delivery all yellow and unfuzzy. As per the picture. Tulips and stocks are in season. I was delivered a bouquet as per the second picture.fuzzy, half dead daisys mainly foliage and white with odd yellow. Complained on the day they weee delivered and offered to send back. Chased with a phone call and email. I got a reply back offering a refund of 30% of flower price as a goodwill gesture. I said I didn’t want the flowers as most had to be thrown or would accept £30 refund as would cost a lot to return. Despite trading standards rules and the Comsumer Credit Act rules relating to time of the essence, must meet description and fit for purpose, the flower yard said their terms and conditions permitted them to substitute at will and tough. Hence, they will deliver whatever they have in stock regardless of what you are expecting to deliver. They then said I could return them but as it was a Friday they would get them on Monday possibly and would only refund what they could reuse. This company is therefore a fraud. Unless you don’t care what type of flowers are delivered and when, don’t use them. You will however get something so if you don’t care what they look like or what state they are in then go ahead. None the less the retailer has now resolved this matter and hopefully will amend their website to make it clear that they may substitute and obtain the clients consent. Equally the customer will need to make it clear that they don’t want the flowers to be sent if substituted. As I said, you will receive a nice bunch of flowers one way or another, just maybe not what you were expecting...
Read morePurchased flowers for same day delivery in London for the birthday of my best friend. Decided to remind The Flower Yard at 1600 UK time to make sure it is delivered on the same day (before office closes). They promised to deliver within the hour. The flowers did not arrive that day - The Flower Yard did not even have the courtesy to inform me, I had to find out from the birthday girl. When I called The Flower Yard the next day, the answer was, "For some reason, the flowers were not delivered. As an apology, how about if we add a box of chocolates to the bouquet?" Dearest The Flower Yard - if I wanted a box of chocolates, I would have bought it. All I wanted was for the flowers to be delivered ON the date of birth of a friend - NOT the day after the birthday. In summary, if you want certainty of delivery - The Flower Yard is NOT RECOMMENDED. If you want some extra something to be added to your bouquet as part of their apology when they do not deliver as they should, then by all means, you will likely get it with this florist. p/s: As at the time of this writing, it is still unclear if the flowers will be delivered today and what quality can be expected when the flowers are finally delivered - so those comments will be withheld until delivery...
