I’m leaving a 1-star rating as the lady behind the cashier was able to allow us (my cousin and I) to split our purchases to enjoy the discounts which came with a new membership. However, having spent around 500 pounds in store during our visit to London only to realize that one (out of the pair of 3 items which I have purchased) started to suffer from pigmentation from using a mug to drink coffee after less than 3 days. Just to be specific, the Lilypad Floral mug looked so pretty in store and I have not washed it with a dishwasher, nor heat it up in the microwave at all. All I did was to drink coffee out of it. And after just 2 days, the cracks on the mug started to become darker and more visible as the days go by. Since I bought 2 of those mugs, and only used one, I had a perfectly unused product as a comparison. You can see in the photo which mug has been discoloured, with cracks which were more obviously than the other which has never been used. Additionally, when we told the cashier to help us wrap the ceramic products up real good to prevent them from breaking during travels, everything was still wrapped half heartedly and not bubble wrapped. Although everything transported well for me since I wasn’t taking a flight back from London, I can only imagine my products potentially breaking if I were required to check-in my luggage for a flight. Absolutely disheartened and disappointed given how the items were EXPENSIVE and overpriced. I would expect better quality items and...
Read moreI bought an orange Maeve jumper last week in the sale at the King’s Road store. I had thrown the receipt away as I loved the jumper and didn’t want to return it. I wore it once and noticed that there was a pull in the fabric. I therefore returned to the King’s Road store to see if something could be done. The lady there said she couldn’t do anything about it because it was ‘clearly not a manufacturing error’ and that it was my fault and I must have pulled it without realising. I asked if I could exchange the item because I had paid £50 and it wasn’t satisfactory that there was already a tear. She said that nothing could be done and these things happen. I felt that it wasn’t a friendly interaction. I then went to the Regent’s Street store and had a totally different reception. They were incredibly helpful and friendly. They said that the product should not have torn so quickly after purchase and suggested I go to the store I bought it in. When I explained that the King’s Road store had not helped me, they apologised and stated that they should have helped. They checked my bank statement and then gave me a credit note at the store so I could exchange my item. I am obviously pleased that I eventually got the help that I was looking for, but it is disappointing to have had to seek help from a...
Read moreAnthropology is one of my favourite stores. However today's experience at the Kings Road store has left me to leave the store without buying what I went in for and to write this long overdue review. Anthropology have two main clientel, ladies and gay men. So why as a man shopping alone do I nearly always have a member of staff pretending to tidy up around me, watching me with hawk eyes within minutes of me entering the store. If they don't trust certain types of customers then they should invest in security cameras so that everyone is treated the same. Well dressed men are not an obvious choice of a target, but maybe they just want to appeal to females? In this time of unrest they need to make all their customers feel welcomed and not made to feel that they are being watched for whatever reasons they may have. It's now time that their management across the globe review their door policy of how to treat everyone the same and until they do I am staying away. I'm speaking up because I know I'm not the only one this...
