The history museum shop was an adventure in itself! Picture this: a small kid enthusiastically sprinting towards a display of dinosaur toys, only to trip and take an unplanned tour of the floor. Fear not, he bounced back like a true explorer!
And speaking of dinosaurs, they have the cutest pet dinosaur toys. Seriously, who knew a T-Rex could look so cuddly? It's like Jurassic Park meets a teddy bear picnic.
Now, about those penguin t-shirts. Yes, they're real. But the price tag? Let's just say these penguins must be made of gold or maybe they've been to the South Pole and back. It's as if each shirt comes with its own personal iceberg.

The staff were super and the food was great. The museum is massive, and there is so much to see. It would take a week to look at each section properly. it would be good to have one telling the story of the Museum, its collections and historical context. In addition to the many many galleries open and display including birds, mammals, minerals and dinosaur galleries, they also have several exhibitions. The last time I visited, which was on Monday 26 October 2020, it was the first day of the Wildlife Photographer of the year exhibition, it was just wow. Shop excellent and has good selection of children's items as well as adults. All connected to natural history.
