Went on a busy Sunday at lunchtime and the place was packed. It is a small restaurant and there were too many people crammed together so the room was very noisy. The service was slow and the waiters were clearly feeling the pressure so not particularly friendly with the customers. I ordered a dish that contained some chillies and asked the waiter if it was a very hot dish and he assured me that not but when I tasted it, it was full of hot chillies and I really struggled to eat it. My husband's dish on the other hand was bland and rather tasteless. When we asked for desserts, we were told that desserts were not available despite the fact that we could clearly see a selection of cakes in the fridge behind our table. I asked if I could have some ice cream to soothe my palate after my fiery dish. I ordered two different flavours of ice cream but when it arrived, I was disappointed to find it was all vanilla. Clearly my order had not been taken into account. We felt rushed and unwelcome as soon as our main dish was finished as people were waiting at the door to come in to have lunch and it was obvious that tables were needed to be vacated quickly. I had been to that restaurant two years ago during the week with friends and although it was busy at the time the service and food was much better. I was looking forward to going back with my husband in February of this year but we were both very disappointed and...

We arrived and sat outside. My friend is disabled, and so we could park her mobility scooter easily outside.

After 5 mins, I had to go and find someone, to get a menu.

We both ordered a pizza, as the menu states they cook gluten free food. But then the waitress came out and said that there was no gluten free pizzas, and she could have a spaghetti or salad. She went for the spaghetti with truffle.

After mine arrived, we were told her’s would take longer to cook as gluten free. I had finished mine (or it would have been cold!), before her’s arrived! They could have held mine back so we could eat together.

Finally, like many other London restaurants the toilets are downstairs. So I went next door and across the road to try to find an accessible loo.

While I was out searching, they gave her the bill. When I got back I asked for a copy, but the waitress said she had to keep it. So I took a photo to pay my share later that evening.

When I went to repay her it was the WRONG BILL !!!!!!!! We were charged for a family of 4.

Disappointed totally with the service and will not return because of this. Saying all the above, the food was very tasty, so it’s a shame it...

Absolutely fantastic restaurant! Turned up on a Sunday afternoon around 3PM and we were happy to see the restaurant was semi filled out, so we were confident in eating here after seeing great reviews and cheap prices.

The lady saw us from the door, smiled at us and had a joke with us and sat us down when they found the appropriate table. All the staff members seemed to bounce of one another and were all lovely and bubbly. It made everyone as a customer happy!

We had our order taken and the food came within 10/15 minutes. I noticed they had some kind of elevator shaft where the food came from (I'm guessing the kitchen would cook it fresh and then put it in the elevator shaft so the waiters can quickly give them to the tables) but our food was absolutely fantastic. You could tell it was cooked fresh and well seasoned and it was hot so literally nothing to complain about from both of our meals.

The price is really good for a London restaurant too. Definately DEFINATELY going back here. I'm a very fussy person when it comes to food and catering but anyone reading this, I advice you to check this restaurant out, even if you live the other...

Really good, authentic food. The minestrone was fabulous. Blend of hearty, vegetables, served hot with just the right amount of salt. The veal saltimbocca was awesome. Flavorful with a touch of rosemary in the sauce. Tender and delicious to the last bite. The spaghetti pomodoro basilica was authentic sauce served with fresh basil. The pasta was al dente. Excellent, but simple, fish. This restaurant was far superior to the “modern” Italian more expensive places in London. The place was a little crowded due to its size and popularity. This place would be 5 stars but the service was a little slow and off. Service started out really strong but went downhill as the meal progressed and our server was switched. The waiter forgot my beer and it took about 10-15 minutes before another server came around. This place would be top notch if the service was better. I would go back though because the food was well above average and the prices were reasonable.

Would’ve been a better review had you asked me before we got the bill, food was ok. Ordered a kids margarita, lasagne & an apple juice- cost £37! Overheard a diff customer complaining they felt they’d been ripped off when they received their bill but just assumed they wasn’t expecting to pay a service charge. We then got our bill and I couldn’t believe they’d charged £10.50 for a kids pizza (the adults pizza cost £13.50) then added a VAT charge plus the service charge! I didn’t see anywhere on the menu the VAT wasn’t included in the menu price and I’m sure this is illegal for them to do in the UK. Don’t be fooled by the menu prices looking decent, they’ll slap an extra 35% onto that price.

People complaining about the prices or the small tables and the crowded restaurant have to stop leaving reviews. It’s a very expensive location for commercial real estate. Of course this will be an over average priced restaurant. It’s tiny just like all the rest of little Italian restaurants. This is the ethos of Italian dining. We had two pastas and they were both great, particularly the Amatriciana, which is so hard to get right. The food came out really fast. The service was fantastic. Very kind staff and management. They did not comment on my son having an orange juice bottle from the outside and thus not ordering a drink. The owner also kindly offered some chocolate treats at the end.
